Here in Blighty they're talking about implimenting a rule that says that immigrants coming into this country will have to learn the language and take a Britishness test (I kid you not!) within three years of settling here.
Let's face it, it Isn't going to happen is it?

All of this is how government gets huge, like that article states.

Ok... I saw, didn't agree with, but saw your argument right up to that last peice... so Gov gets big because Nashville wont ban the use of any other language than English?

Can you explain that one please?

because now you have to hire translators,,,who recieve real good pay

now all documents must be in multiple languages

granted in nashville or anywhere it may be a small addition
but overtime,,,this can really add up

imagine if every branch or dept hires a translator at $60,000 a year

that sounds like a good idea


our turnpikes in nj have those big safety signs warning of conditions ahead or reduced speed limits, accidents etc etc

how can you heed the advice if you can't read english????
to me that's creating a safety hazard
