Why should we (conspiracy theorists) assume that conspiracies always include hidden but decipherable messages, codes or signs, which we, the presumable commoner can, with some thought, decode? What do these conspirators or secret societies gain? This is a relevant question, especially after reading so many threads on this website about hidden illuminati/freemason/goat-sacrifice/satanic/nibiru/planet-x-is-coming-back-around messages that are supposedly inscribed on the sides of federal buildings or airport walls. If these societies or conspiracies do exist, and are secret, why would they leave clues to their existence? It seems to go against logic of maintaining secrecy, does it not? And lets stay away from the typical "the greys leave them so that those who are worthy may reach a new height of consciousness" nonsense; this isn't The Elder Scrolls. This whole "hidden-messages" thing is a serious hangup that no one seems to have put very much rational, logical thought into.

Well first can we begin by assuming your forum name degoat87 isnt any subliminal message in itself?

You talk about illuminati/goat-sacrifice, etc etc...but after reading that and looking at your forum name, a flag of "Oh?" raised.

Hmm a few quick ideas come to mind. Since you don't mean anything specific I'm just throwing out general thoughts about it:

It could maybe be to mock people they likely see as inferior and stupid.
They could have meanings even the conspiracy theorists can't grasp since they're not really in the know. (like a homage to something only they're aware of)
A form of communications between each other.
Because in the end everything is designed chosen and placed intentionally, and often makes you wonder "WHY is that there exactly?".
Because once something starts to appear regularly for "no reason" we wonder what the reason is, because there has to be one

I'll have more of a think about this one.

secret societies dont use hidden symbols. we have no idea that any exist either, thats why they are called secret societies.
and we would have no idea what they would mean unless they told us.
freemasons are slightly different but then they arent a secret society.
