ABC News is reporting that Sen. Kennedy has had a series of seizures during the Presidential luncheon. He has been rushed to the hospital. Sen. Byrd also overcome. No new information at this time. We wish the Kennedys well.

I also tried to thread this information, no matter who it is, Kennedy who has been suffering from brain cancer or Byrd the oldest Senator from West Virginia, it is quite a devastating piece of news.

No official news yet, and the daily schedule has not been interrupted, they are instead going ahead with the formal toast to Biden. Seems like Barrack should make a formal announcement, this is the change we are looking for, a transparency of Government, not a smile instead of the truth.

LOL

I am sorry, I was thinking: these old guys just can't take all this excitement.

Tis a shame, I really Sen Byrd. I like his spunk and to watch him talk, he is really entertaining.

That's a matter of opinion.

If Senator Byrd, being an ex-Klan member and current day racist, died on Obama's Inauguration Day some might call that "divine intervention".

He did. At the very outset of his luncheon address. He couldn't have reacted more quickly.

Has Ted just died? Barrack is giving condolences. He calls it a sobering time and that his prayers are with Teddy and his wife Vicky. Ok so he is not dead. Glad he stood up and made mention.

This is terrible! He has been reported to have been seizing, and was seen still seizing as they transported him. Bless the Kennedys! I pray for strength to see them through.

MSNBC - Byrd's event happened BEFORE Kennedy's. Byrd was having trouble eating. It was later that Kennedy started having seizures.

They have probably taken them downstairs to the medical facility.

The ambulance being seen is the regular motorcade ambulance, having nothing to do with Kennedy or Byrd.

I wonder if either one turned red in the face from all that good vibration and soulful excitement or perhaps it must have been just good eatin'! Mmm! Mmm!

Ok so Senator Byrd did have the intitial problems, and medical teams went to assist and shortly afterwards Senator Kennedy began to convulse and seize, John Kerrys wife Teresa was trying to assist, until the medics came to his aid.

Within an hour of Obama being sworn in both Kennedy and Byrd keel over. This is either a very very good sign or a very very bad one. I'm not sure.

Still, my prayers are with them.

Edit for spelling.

Very symbolistic if you ask me...

Could there be any more bad omens for Obama? Flubbing of the oath, Kennedy and Senator Byrd collapsing ... what's next?

This Inauguration is turning out to be somewhat of an anti-climax.

Check the food.
Check the food.
Check the Karma.
Check the Karma.

Seriously, sad news for Byrd and Kennedy. Bizarre timing and luckily there was plenty of emergency staff in close proximity.
