Something's in this image that doesn't belong.

Around the top of the image, 3 objects, strange looking, out of place.

Please check it out here:

Looks like..... rocks.
Same as on the front of the pic under the rover.

Try looking up the top of the hill.

Thanks.

It's sitting on rocks aswell, the camera used is a fisheye lens which curves and distorts everything but allows for a wider perspective than a conventional lens i think.

It looks really weird. Looks like strange rocks that the rover is sitting on,

plus if you zoom the top the center item looks like a metal structure with some bracing.

The objects on either side look to me like some kind of transports.

One on right has a canopy or what looks like it to me.

Sorry for not being able to post blowups here, can't seem to get the hang of it yet.

This has been explained as a part of the rover that's in the image. I know it doesn't look like it but apparently it has to do with the way the wide angle lens works, there are other images where it's pretty obvious that it's part of the rover.

oh and it's kind of funny that people automatically just start chanting "Rocks, Rocks, Rocks!" When this has been proven to be an artificial object created from metal & plastic...

..sorry didn't know you could zoom into the object.
Without zooming it looks like rocks. Like the rest of mars.

I personally don't buy it as part of the rover, due to spacing between rover and observable objects, Your input is quite welcome and appreciated. I allso understand the effects of the fisheye lens and can easily see why it could cause problems in interpreting images, but I don't see a case for it here. It certainly doesn't resemble any rocks that I'm familiar with.

Is the info posted on this site regarding the rover rearhaz cam anomoly?

Thanks

If they didn't want us to see 'this' then why is it freely available?

NO WAY!!!!!!

If you look very close, and blow up the pic.... You can actaully see to the left and right and middle, there are...... MORE ROCKS!!!!

Geez, why do some people always have to look for something that isnt there.

GEEZ! Why do people like you always act as if they have been on mars and know this for sure. I dont see anything weird in this image either. But this is only one of them. IMO you must have a plate infront of your head (Dutch saying) to conclude instantly: "mars is only rocks..."

GREEEETZZZ!

I see two orninary looking rocks and one square looking rock. Remember that the perspective, and thus shapes in the photograph are somewhat distorted due to the lens curvature.

What I find somewhat more interesting than the three rocks is the flat white surface on the right.

Very good, thanks for your opinion.

Yes I was looking at that white surface as well and its strange.

Is there a possibility it might be snow strange as it may sound?

Thanks

Great find
marsorbust don't you just love how NASA releases this picture with no examination report as to what these objects are.

This is an oddity, the objects to the Left and Right of the picture seem to be the same although they are Mirrored and unattached.

Now the Object in the middle looks like something structured like a solar panel it hasn't blow off has it?

How could anyone imagine those are rocks as I can not.

Zelong.

Zelong, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Marsorbust I had brought these anomolies to Art Bell several years ago by email. If you will look closely between the far left anomoly and middle one you will see exact spacing of many small protrusions on the arched hill, Make no mistake these exact spacings are by intelligent design.

Hi Zelong,

I think you may have hit the nail on the head.

It does remind me of a solar panel!

Good eye!

As for the other two, they don't remind me of rocks, the lines are too smooth and the things look to have a metal sheen in spots. Just a manufactured look to them catches my eye. I spent years as an industrial mechanic and those sorts of things stick right out to me.

Your right, a little bit of info would likely have added to the post and maybe solved it. As it stands for me anyway you've helped me very much.

I'm not looking for the impossible just good reasoning. Sure Mars has rocks, so does earth, does that keep us from sorting the rocls from other objects? I think not.

It will be interesting to follow the rover updates to see whether or not it lost a panel. could be bad news if so. Hope not. I really enjoy perusing the NASA sites, especially the moon and Mars. Gives me something to think about while enjoying my pension years.

Take Care and thanks again for stopping by Zelong
