C-SPAN

I am watching C_SPAN right now and they were just highlighting the military JOINT FORCE. I understand that we need to maintain order, and I support that whole heartedly, but when the screen reads Military Emergency Preparedness, it spooks me.
I thought that it is illegal to use US Army Navy, etc against US Citizens. I thought that it is the job of the National Guard and the FBI. I also thought that it is illegal for the CIA to operate on US grounds.

Am I wrong? I am really thinking of moving to a different country. I am tired of being scared of the very government that is supposed to serve me, not terrify me.

Maybe I'll find some little island and go there. It sure feels like WWII Germany again.

Oh, by the way, I am really willing to be wrong. Quite frankly, I would be ecstatic.
