Michelle Obama's 'job' eliminated

Michelle Obama’s pay-for-play position at the University of Chicago Hospital has been eliminated. You know … that position that was created exclusively for her in which her salary did that sudden jump from $121,910 in 2004 before her hubby was senator, to $316,962 right after her hubby became the senator.

Guess now that Michelle Obama’s hubby isn’t a senator who will bring in million dollar earmarks for the hospital, the hospital doesn’t have to ‘pay for play’ and pretend to need her around anymore.

Michelle Obama had been on unpaid leave from the position for a while. Considering that the made-for-Michelle position only existed briefly, it is safe to say that it was a position that remained void of someone actually doing much work in it at all.

Chicago politics as usual. And the Obamas’ are up to their eyeballs in it. Both of them. Wonder what George W. Haywood, John J. Gorman, and Jared Abbruzzese think of all this?

Hmmm, you can't help but wonder if a couple of good doctors could have been employed at the hospital instead of paying Michelle Obama to sit on her hands and take easy money. Very honorable of her!

Perhaps some of those poor black people could have received some basic rights... like the right to humane treatment & health care.

Surely Obama wouldn't have married a woman who didn't share the same values and moral principles as himself? Surely Not!

Chicago Daily Observer has an interesting piece. Our Sick Health Care System asks this - if these 'senior executive jobs' at the hospital that Michelle Obama 'worked' at could be cut, and if the hospital claims it won't effect health care, then what the heck did the hospital have those positions for in the first place?

Kill the 'pay for play' positions in hospitals and banks and corporations and the rest, and the country will be a lot better off.

It isn't like she isn't the first do nothing suit to be working somewhere. What the real shame is, that the person that replaced her was a "close friend to the family." Which means that if there was someone more qualified and probably willing to work for less money is going to get passed over. I love the Good old boy network that we have in this case.

It's rather obvious that this was a 'pay for play' position that was created especially for Mrs. Senator. The hospital got paid with million $$ earmarks. Mrs. Senator wasn't around much, but the little she did got criticized by the poor. Then when she left, the 'job' evaporated.

I do not remember who said it on ATS, but whoever it was stated that the economy has grown so weak because there are just SO many "investors" and not enough workers.

Sounds like Barry O wasn't going to be able to pull through a favor for someone! Part of his not being able to do all he promised as soon as he wanted to. I bet we see lots of obamaniacs back out and become angry in the near future.

With the way that politics is screwed up in Chicago, just imagine how bad it will be in Washington when they get their claws in there. The future looks bleak.

Heh! Why isn't anyone whining about the fleecing of the country that took place over they last eight years? $316,962 is chicken feed in comparison.

In recent years our political system has completely cracked up:

- Through spreading and promoting blatant lies in the mainstream media.
- Through corrupting media representatives and officeholders, especially lawmakers, by paying them so much money they literally “forget” about justice, fairness, human rights, etc.
- Through intimidation of persons opposing the lies and the system.
- Through an “officeholder-inbreeding” mechanism, i.e. only those who are willing to support the corrupt system will get a chance for a job as a media representative, officeholder, or like.

The real cataclysm lies in the appalling extent in which we see the above happen these days. Our democratic system is already destroyed. Forget it. There is no democracy anymore if voters can only “choose” between preselected puppets. Like McCain and Obanana were. Both were chosen and “made” because they were/are willing to back the corrupt system. The electoral “campaigns” were staged events mocking a democratic election. And the exact same goes for lower elections levels, every day, everywhere.

The “democratic” society is on the brink of becoming as rotten to the core as the Roman empire before its collapse.

I cannot believe that I actually agree with you on something, but I do.

Barack Obama is nothing but a criminal. It doesn't get any simpler than that, folks. His sudden rise to power should be suspicious. It rings an odd bell of comparison to some German guy back in the 1930s.

Sadly, to 70 million voting Americans, it does no such thing.

Isn't it amusing how as we progress ever so closer to Inauguration Day, the lies that built and propped up the "Change" motto are crumbling to dust? More and more those of us paying attention are seeing just how corrupt, and just how ordinary in today's US political system, Barack Obama and the people around him truly are.

Her duties will be taken over by Dr. Eric Whitaker, a friend of her husband, President-elect Barack Obama, and a long-time executive vice president for strategic affiliations and external affairs.

They didn't HIRE anyone. He was already working there. They just shifted her non-existent 'duties' over to him. He absorbed it.

That's why the bulk of the government excludes politics from their internal strategic operations. Politics is a tactical distraction of the people from strategic operations.

The International Herald Tribune reports that although Senator Obama was able to secure only about $3 out of every $10 he requested, the list of requests included $1 million for an expansion of the University of Chicago Medical Center in 2006, where his wife, Michelle Obama, is a vice president.

The request was denied.

Senator Obama’s aides as well as officials at the hospital said his wife had nothing to do with the request.

FACT - the position was created just for her when her hubby became senator.

FACT - her salary instantly more than doubled to over $300,000 per year.

FACT - he attempted to get million dollar earmark for when she worked.

FACT - the very little bit of impact she had on the hospital resulted in complaints from the poor people in the area.

FACT - the position was only in existence for a couple of years, and Michelle Obama wasn't there much of the time - being off on unpaid leave to campaign.

FACT - as soon as hubby gets the POTUS job and Michelle isn't coming back - the position that was created just for her vanishes. The 'duties' are easily absorbed by another person , with another job, working in the hospital.
