How do US citizens view Canada and it's involvement in world affairs

i agree, we americans do take our neibours to the north for granted.. but there are times we also get taken for granted.. we take a lot of bashing though sometimes we do ask for it.. ..

I think that the Canadians go above and beyond given the overall size of their armed forces but I do feel that NATO needs to do a bit more in Afghanistan and to defend themselves instead of relying on us to do all the dying. I mean the German troops in Afghanistan are not even allowed to be assigned to the provinces where the actual fighting occurs.
