Take a deep breath and try to relax. That's what I do when the weather is tornadic!!!

All of these scenarios are just speculation. No one knows for sure what is going to happen, if anything happens at all. Imagine how you will feel when 12-21-12 comes and goes and you've spent the last 4 years of your life worried and panicked. It sure seems like a waste of time to me, time you can never get back.

If it makes you feel any better, you can always "prepare" for any type of disaster by storing goods. Take it from me, my storm shelter is stocked with water, lighting and plenty of blankets and pillows! Beans and rice last for a long time as long as you store properly! After all, I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it!!!

I don't mean to be too intrusive to the thread, but an anxiety disorder does not work on worry. I mean, it starts that way, but then becomes so chronic that it becomes part of your physiology.

I have severe panic attacks very often. It typically ABOUT nothing, it just happens.

I only brought it up because sometimes, "DON'T WORRY!!!!" can be a rather abrasive thing to hear as a person with an anxiety disorder. Its not so simple.

Being in the medical field, I get irritated when people say they're seeing a physician about a disorder, admit they have been prescribed medication, but then say they're not taking the medication. Don't go to the doctor if you're not going to take the medication they prescribe you. You're clogging up the system. If you want someone to try a more holistic approach, go to a DO.

To whoever said Valium doesn't work, you don't have a clue what you're talking about. It works great on nearly everyone who takes it. Although it's a good medication, you may want to ask your doctor about Xanax. Xanax is much more potent.

Nothing is going to happen in 2012. There's no evidence what-so-ever.
Take you're medication.

If you're spending your youth worrying about dying young, then haven't you died young already? Why worry about the number of years you're alive, when you should focus on how you're spending your years.

People die young all the time, far younger than you. It's tragic but it's reality. Some people accomplish more in the fewer years they had than some who live to a good old age.

What's the thinking behind being afraid of dying too early? Is it that you won't experience this list of things you want to do? Then start working towards doing those things right now. There's no reason to wait to start anything. Hmm I should probably follow my own advice on that one.

So it doesn't matter how long someone lives, life is too short for everyone. Get out there and make the most of life. See a doctor about that anxiety as well. You're risking your health living this way.

Dear lad (or lady),

First off, I understand your fear and concern. We live in what seem like uncertain times. There is much volatility. Many people share your feelings and anxiety, so you are absolutely not alone.

Now, there are many ways to interpret the 2012 prophecy. Some choose to see it as an impending catastrophe which will spell the end of the world. I have spent some time reading and listening to those who are authorities on the subject, and the vast majority of them agree that the 2012 prophecy likely does not represent an apocalyptic end to the world.

My own belief is that it's entirely possible we will have the ability to choose, individually, what the event means for us. If you choose to see it as an apocalyptic nightmare, for you it very well may be. If you choose to see it as an evolutionary event or step toward a more peaceful global society, that will likely be your personal experience.

Rather than go see a doctor (you mentioned you already do), I suggest you look into a personal meditation practice to help calm your mind and treat your anxiety. Don't be hard on yourself about your fearful visions and worries. Treat yourself playfully, and dismiss your internal discord as thoughts and nothing more. Don't judge yourself harshly in any way. Breathe in, and breathe out, deeply. Love yourself and those around you. Seek out spiritual guidance. There are teachers out there waiting for you, all you need to do is ask for them.

With love and blessings, so it is.

Does anyone have any links to information about the concept that 2012 has technically already happened? I must say, for many of the same reasons (I'm in my 20s) I got a little bit worried about this.

I'm just not ready to go from this existence. I have so much art to create, and so many things that I feel that if I do not do, my life will have been a complete waste. Plus, I have so much beauty in this world that I yet wish to experience. I want to see the great wonders of humanity and nature, not just witness it's filth and evil. My journey is far from that goal.

I am generally a creative person, so it's quite easy for me to let my imagination run wild. My rational side of me says that there is no possible way that anyone could actually know what they are experiencing is, even folks in the "illuminati" who believe they are enlightened. It also seems likely that what they are told serves a utilitarian purpose (control).

Did we just go through 2012 this December, technically speaking?

Wow... this is the kind of thing i hate about this '2012'.

Some advice from an honest teenager (
), go outside, hug your family and go out for a nice get together. You will grow old and live a fulfilling life, forget about 2012.

I don’t think there is any doubt the panic attack are being caused by you worrying to much about 2012. It has got a hold of you, and is now in your head, causing other issues.

I to am worried, but I was worried at 2000 and other things, and nothing happened.

Just switch off from it, don’t go into the 2012 area, and try thinking of other things.

I would also go see a Dr; at worst he will prescribe you some tablets.

Hope all goes well.

USU me, and I will happily give you my MSN name, and I can talk to you.
I am a trained councillor, i used to suffer from MAJOR panic attacks, i have not had 1 for 2 years now. i am heart pounding/thinking im going to die, free !! yey

The problem will not be 2012 but making it from present to 2012. I could tell not to worry, so do not worry now we have that out of the way. Live every day and enjoy the days you have and you could live another 100 years and have great accomplishments in your life.

I beleive that we are all destined to do something great with our lives no matter how small or large it may be. I will ask you this question what did worry ever do for you? You answered the question.

I'd say relax and just live your life. Drugs aren't the answer, I don't care who says so. You are 21 and shouldn't be into that garbage. So what if we all get annihilated from now till 2012 and sometime after that? You can die driving your car, walking down the street, and so on. Basically, you me and everyone has to die sometime, so why live worrying about death? You say you aren't afraid of death, but you are. We were supposed to die in 1998, then 1999, then there was that hilarious Y2K scare. Then it was june 6, 2006, or 6-6-6, which was even funnier cause that wasn't correct cause they were just two thousands years off the mark. Then even before the Nineties, we were supposed to be wiped out by everything from atomic bombs, asteroids and plaques, you name it. After 2012, people will look for the next one to flock to, but guess what, we are still here.

Do yourself a favor, you are young, don't let this crap get to your head, and just live your life. Travel to places, meet people, have lot's of sex, learn new things. Do the things you want in life right now, and just keep on doing it. And if we do meet our doom, then that's just how it's going to be. Better to welcome the worst with open arms as a part of life than be afraid of it.

I used to experience a lot of anxiety and panic attacks. 2012 will come and go with nothing of importance happening. zero, nada, boring year.

I haven't had a panic/anxiety attack in so long, that I couldn't tell you the exact time I stopped having them. How did I bet them? I let "It doesn't matter" be my mantra. Really, 'it' doesn't matter. Whatever 'it' is. It's all small stuff.

Put your trust in the Lord Yeshua Hammaschiach (aka Jesus Christ) and you will have a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Dear young man, the only thing you have to fear is the evil one who can take your soul. Do not let yourself be deceived. Seek YHWH God's face and will in your life and you will be saved from your worst fears.

If you pray and repent, you will find your sleep again, and wake up rested and refreshed. Do not fear. Do not fear, precious one.

Let me start to say that I have extreme anxiety and panic attacks all day, panic attacks that last around 12+ hours. I am an extreme worrier.

I read a lot, and the 2012 talk scares me more than anything. I am 21 years old. I am not afraid of death, I am however worried about dying too young. I will be 25 in 2012. I am also not a religious man, nor do I believe in people who tell the future and other dooms day dates.

You are a young man and have your life ahead of you, and you need your sleep, so you must try to stop worrying.

There are many people who will say that we are all doomed, and equally many who will say that nothing will happen in 2012. If you don’t mind, I’ll try to explain my understanding of the possibilities for that year, which I shall do without referring to any religion. I will mention Spirituality, but that can be obtained and enhanced outside of the World’s religions, as well as inside them.

Because of the increasing number of children born in the late 1980’s, with a greater spiritual understanding than previous generations, the light/dark ratio changed, and this improved life on Earth by a degree or two. Just after World War 2, Earth was a very, very sick planet, and it took about 40 years or so for these children to come into the world, at the time when some of the damage from the 1940’s had been repaired. In a nutshell, the World has healed somewhat, as a result of this.

A percentage of children being born now are even more enlightened, and in 2007/2008 there were changes to Earth’s magnetic fields. These could have gone badly, and some people were forecasting disaster, but in the end these changes went well.

science.nasa.gov...

What I am expecting for 2012 is that there will be a much lighter and friendlier society on Earth, as many of the dark energies will be less predominant by then. The world is changing for the better, and although we are currently in a state of turmoil, that always happens when changes are afoot.

If all goes well, and wars come to an end, so that all nations trade with each other we shall have peace, for nations who trade will have less reason to fight each other and we could have a more equitable society. Of course, when changes happen to the planet, sometimes there are tectonic plate shifts, tsunamis or volcanic events as well; and there is no guarantee that such events will not happen.

If there is a significant upward shift of spirituality on Earth by 2012, then in the following 25 to 50 years will be a substantial improvement with people’s lives, in a lighter world, with the dark energies largely dissipated. If it plays out like that, then 2012 is good news, and do you know what; much of mankind won’t even notice what’s happened? That’s because the changes will be gradual, and any seismic events will be regarded as what happens anyway.

This long term change is a possibility, or a probability, but not a certainty; but if it does happen, then it’s good news for us.

This information has been compiled from a variety of sources, some 3rd dimensional and some 4th dimensional. One of the best 4th dimensional sources is Lee Caroll’s channelling from Kryon of Magnetic Service entitled ‘Predictions for the Next Generation’, recorded in Laguna Hills USA on 2nd December 2007, which is a free mp3 download from the link below.

www.kryon.com...

Midway through the recording, Kryon made a prediction about what would happen to the World’s largest insurance company in 2008, and it turned out to be correct.

Nothing new is going to happen. The only thing different is the Mayan calendar runs out of numbers, and starts out at zero. That's it. The earth will keep orbiting the sun, people will still be good, people will still be bad, water will still be wet, rocks will still be hard, the mountains will be tall, the oceans will be deep.

That's it, and I'll wager any amount anybody wants that the world will not come to an end, which is my position.

You know what, I have the exact same problem, and I lose sleep too, but hey, just do what I do. Think about this: the Mayan calendar only goes up to 2012, do most people now have any calendars that last more than a year? They probably died out before they could get another new calendar made. The so-called (amazing prophets) such as Aristotle and Nostradamus? They only guessed. Their predictions only came true about 1 out of 4 times. And even then, it usually isn't exactly as they described it, only vaguely similar. So don't sweat it, it's only a number.

You don't have to worry. some people say that there are lots of different path to the future. For all we know 2012 doomsday could be a 1 in a billion paths our future could take and it's not very likly. For all we know all that happens in 2012 is that England adopts the uroe or somthing.

p.s. Sorry for the spelling
