Israel shells southern Lebanon after rocket attack

news.yahoo.com

BEIRUT, Lebanon – Lebanese security officials say the Israeli army has fired eight shells at southern Lebanon after rockets were fired into northern Israel.

This is the second such cross-border exchange since Israel launched an offensive in Gaza on its southern flank on Dec. 27, and it threatens to ignite a second front in the north.

Further developments from beyond Gaza. Despite the rockets coming from Lebanon first, Israel will probably face further criticism for further antagonizing a wider conflict. Although many in that region would say they would like to take on Israel, I am surprised anyone would want to take on Israel not unified after seeing the casualty ratio and destruction of Israel in Gaza.

Lebanon cannot afford, nor do they have the military capacity for this. They have yet to recover from the Israeli-Lebanese conflict in 2006 when Israel destroyed their roads and major infrastucture while leaving behind a nasty civilian death toll.

Most likely it's come from Palestinian refugees who reside in Lebanon after being eradicated from Palestine. It would have nothing to do with the Lebanese people or government so i doubt that they would like to enter into the conflict

Thanks for ...um?
Just express your personal opinion as such and try not to dress it up in any legitimacy. You have no idea where Lebanon stands.

Well, Hezbollah says it wasn't them and the Lebanese government agrees.
Interesting too that the rockets found by the Lebanese military in December awaiting firing were on timers and likely set up BEFORE Israel began it's Gaza onslaught. That one stank of a false flag strike and so do these others too.
