First things first ...

Let it be recognized and acknowledged right here right now that our friend Hellmutt is the music guru in this forum. This thread exists in no small part as a result of both the indirect inspiration and the direct encouragement he has provided me.

That being said, as many are making the effort to share and represent music from all over the world, I thought that I would provide a thread for great French music.
