Obama Nets Spider-Man Comic Cameo

WASHINGTON (Jan. 9) - Spider-Man has a new sidekick: The president-elect.

Barack Obama collected Spider-Man comics as a child, so Marvel Comics wanted to give him a "shout-out back" by featuring him in a bonus story, said Joe Quesada, Marvel's editor-in-chief.

The comic starts with Spider-Man's alter-ego Peter Parker taking photographs at the inauguration, before spotting two identical Obamas.

Parker decides "the future president's gonna need Spider-Man," and springs into action, using basketball to determine the real Obama and punching out the impostor.

Obama thanks him with a fist-bump.

also,,, i laughed at all the antichrist threads on obama and "he is the one" quotes,,, but when i saw this i was like,,, man maybe those threads aren't so crazy

of course in the comic,, he isn't a superhero,,, but an average human

however,,,,, when i think of it,,,, his face is everywhere,,,,,and he hasn't even stepped into office yet,,, or even lifted a finger yet

high hopes can make for big disappointments

i even saw that plate infomercial on tv,,, the obama collector plate
geez???

but it's true in some respects
