soviet experimental aircraft

Someone pointed out to me many years ago how similar Russian and British designs were in outlook, and I had to concede they were right, the Lightning, Valiant and Victor, not to mention the Comet, all looked very much like they could heve been Russian, and vice versa for the contemporary Soviet types like the Mya 4, MiG 21 etc. By comparison, US designs look very 'German'. But then we all know why that is.
