Israel to stop bombing Gaza for three hours every day

ISRAEL will halt bombing the Hamas-run Gaza Strip for three hours every day beginning today, an army spokeswoman says.

"It was decided to suspend bombings between one and four o'clock (2200 AEDT and 0100 AEDT) every day starting today," Avital Liebovich said.

Sorry, this is such a short article. However, I had to laugh over it trying to think of reasons why Israel would want to stop bombing between the given times.

Watching favourite TV show? Aircraft refuelling? Allowing Hamas fighters to catch some sleep? Allowing the Gaza residents a chance to go shopping for the limited food without shells falling around them?

Can anyone think why Israel would bother to announce a scheduled bombing plan? It's nuts.

I think whole operation is totally nuts, so it need strange resolutions too. I havent ever heard from this kind of announcement, and I have study war history more over a decade... Strange indeed.

It shows how much this "war" is only in others sides hands. They can wage war, fly bombs like driving bus with timetable.

Do Hamas respect this "3 hours daily truce" - I think Hamas will see it more like dangerous insult to their stance. I highly doubt that they will respect this... What can I say? - This is just crazy resolution! No, its not resolution, its just shows how difficult situation Israel are driving their self...

What is quarantees there are, that halt will stance?

What if 1000 Hamas fighters are marching to the border in clear daylight and in falang? ... Or Hamas fighters go to set new explosives to front of them ... Set some Barbwire?

Perhaps a token action to make it appear as though they (Israel) aren't the monsters majority think they are? Just more BS IMHO!

Whole world should be very scary, everything can happen because of this operation. World will not be same after this massacre.

Israel is making war history... We have to learn new words, meanings to this daily killing break;

So, how we call this?

- Deathbreak
- Killpause
- Deathlock...

Someone should fix these words together...

- adversary, antagonist, enemy, foe, hostile, killing, murder, war, warfare, bombardment, bombing...

and

- break, caesura, calm, calmness, ceasefire, cesura, close, composure, deadlock, demur, espite, half time, halt, hiatus, immobility, inaction, interlude, intermission, interregnum, interruption, playtime, peace, quiet, rest...

How about "DieOut"?
