Thinking about why SETI scans for radio waves.... I might have an idea. Let's say, that when the ships come thru the heliosphere surrounding the
solar system, that their hulls give off a certain wavelength of radio waves. And let's say that SETI is set up to scan for those certain wavelengths.
And let's face it, going faster than light in this place is just like skiing blind and at full speed thru a forest. So they'd be limited in their
speeds- and for whatever reason, they cannot come in thru the 'top' and bottom' of the solar system. Could be any sort of reason. After all- this
is a theory. not a fact. Otherwise- all my bases would be covered.
That takes SETI out of the realm of searching for ET life- and puts it square into the realm of an early warning system instead. Or a doorbell for the
ones who are 'friendly' with the govts or just ours. Who knows. Anyone want to add on, take off, tell me what kind of a doofus I am, ect?
