Regardless of how "staged" this girl was or how much of a planned photo op this video is... It is a powerful image as she winces during the gunfire. She is brave and clearly scared. I am not sure where I come down on the Israel/Palestine issue but this video is emotional to watch.
Wow, what strange times we are living in that we can get such up to the minute info on a conflict and yet we are no closer to ending such conflict once and for all.

Wow. She was really lucky that she did not receive the same fate as Rachel Corrie. (Google her if you don't know.) God bless all those people. So very sad.

She was lucky because there was a journalist there with a camera, but if not she would have been dead like the young American journalist lady that tried to stop an Israelite in a buldozzer to demolish a Palestinian home. He just simply ran his bulldozer over her and killed her, and then proceeded to demolish the house.

They are murdrers.. They have been conditioned since little kids to think of the Palestinians as less than animals... maybe even less than that...

That is why they don't ind killing children because as for them they aren't killing humans

And nothing will stop them until they get a hold of the whole arab world... to later get us too

You notice how the only unarmed individual is also the only one that is not a coward?

Protesters flee from their position and cause, and resort to throwing rocks, while soldiers stand and fire weapons at innocents. Takes a lot of courage to do either one, I tell 'ya.

Then there's one. Unarmed. Innocent. Standing her ground, standing up for her cause and beliefs, and standing up against pawns of a murderous regime, despite the reality of the ease in which they could murder her too.

Bravery isn't wearing a uniform of a military that bombards and slaughters civilians. Bravery is standing up for what you believe despite the risk and against all threats for your defiance.

I just don't see how you think this girl is brave. She is clearly not in danger and knows it. Speaking perfect English with the camera probably helps also. I still don't see any look of fear on her face either. Like when she holds her hands up to blow the view of the guy trying to shoot.

Is she still a hero and brave if by standing up and causing these guys to be less accurate they kill somebody with a rubber bullet rather then hit a non lethal area?

Also if this was a person standing up to police in the USA while they tried to disperse rioters, would you consider her as brave and a hero? I highly doubt it but its very close to the same scenario.

I guess its just hard to see the evidence to deny ignorance from your pedestals your standing on. The sad part is your pedestals are made from the lies and staged footage the media gave you.

He was being hypothetical. I doubt that's his own opinion. Is it? I think it's safe to say you misinterpreted it as being his opinion when he was trying to express the thinking of a common soldier.

Ok, my apologies mod. I got a bit carried away when i read the heartless ness of the fellow that said he would have killed her. That i think was the most offesive thing i have heard. Ill be more mellow for now on.

Anyway to "skepticalspectacle" i was not refering to the "jews" like you assumed. And i may agree with you that there was some propoganda involved. But not in the way you think. Dont assume everyone is bad. You see a couple minutes of footage and gather that she has some massive agenda other than trying to protect a few civilians? There is enough bad in the world to talk about without making things up. But true the same could be said for me. You could say that i assumed she was doing good, but for all we know she could be what you say. The difference is, is that i chose to believe in a fellow human being when i saw an act of bravery and you chose to cut her down. I chose to believe. There not all bad.
