So, I just did a quick runthrough of Condi's testimony on NYTimes.com. I'll apologize upfront if someone has mentioned this, but on nine different
occasions, she responds to queries by the panel by saying she does not remember. I wonder if it's because the world has changes so much that her
brain chemistry has been altered...
"The world has changed so much that it is hard to remember what our lives were like before that day." - Page 2 of testimony
Anyway, to counter that, she does remember things on six different occasions. She also calls upon the commission to remember things on three
different occasions.
Why do I bring this up you may ask? Because, frankly, I didn't realize that in order to maintain National Security it is necessary to never document
any conversations, never save any memos, never transcribe meetings or never take notes. Apparently, the only steps Condi was willing to take to
prepare herself for this testimony was to take a few massive bong hits to frag her short term memory. I might have suggested Ginko Biloba myself.
