I apologise for my earlier post - it was driven more by emotion than logic at the time. Tends to happen sometimes. Would remove it now if I could.

Also, my avatar is WoW coverArt, but I do not actually play the game - just find the display art very appealing.

There term in office is surely not almost over. as a mod I am suprised to see you post such garbage. They are real. Very real. In 1998, Bill Clinton used Al-qeada in an executive order. We heard from them after the Obama win, stating that he had turned his back in his religion. No one remembers that??? How convienent.

We will here from them the first year of Obamas office, jsut like the last 2 preseidents. the last 2. 93 and 01. they test who is in office. Personally, I think they are in the final stages and there is nothing to say. Nothing. we will see a tape in 6 months that will be the go ahead.

Al-qeada folks is real, so don't believe the hype. Since 1989, killing and maiming those who do not believe. They are not a CIA op. Has the CIA infiltrated or attempted to infiltrate, I am sure, but they are as real as Joe Bidens gaffes on stage. Also, before anyone says it, there was no arms deal with AQ but there was with the taliban. Have we forgotten about the CIA ops killed by Al-qeada on tape including Daniel Pearl. Why would we kill our own....think about it people.

It is a matter of time before we see the next tape.

I believe you are correct in your prediction that history will repeat itself.

By the way, my kitty thinks my Marshall amp is a scratching post, wish I could teach her to shred some solo's instead.

Why have we not heard anything from Al Qaeda, Ayman al Zawahiri or Bin laden? This is normally a time they respond to garner support.

Here's a couple stories, one of which explains why you may not have heard much -

Remember, there's only two weeks left in the current administration so my guess is they're busy packing-up their offices like everyopne else that's losing their jobs in DC. They came in with Bush and they'll probably leave with him. Makes you think, huh?

The computer that the Al Qaeda is useing keeps on crashing, because they have microsoft windows 95 installed. That IS the only reason WHY we have not heard anything from Al Qaeda.

They did not come in with Bush. Are some of you not old enough to remember the Clinton administration or the war in Afghanistan that repelled the Soviets? This is where they cut their teeth, and if you really want to, you can trace them back to the assassination of Sadat.

They have been broken but there are active cells. Realize that the 9/11 attack took years and they did not launch the operation until they were ready. When the time comes the time will come. This is not about fear mongering but simply the state of affairs across the globe.

Can anyone who believes they are CIAl-Qeada tell me why there has not been another US operation? Just curious as to your thoughts.

They don't need al qaeda anymore... they ploy was to keep showing arab looking people and repeating al qaeda and terrorists and war on terror every time a picture or clip of arab's was on the news.... it worked.

Now most are paranoid of anyone who looks like that and associate them with al qaeda or terrorists whether consciously or subconsciously.
If china becomes the next "threat", We'll see it happen all over again...

The question presupposes, with respect a little naively, that "Al-Quaeda" constitutes a single entity in the mountains of Pakistan somewhere with two Dr Evils stroking their cats and putting the final touches to their latest apocalyptic missive to the West. Al Quaeda, in as much as it is a unified entity at all, would view its voice as being heard by Hamas in Gaza at the moment. Bin Laden is our version of its figure head, but for those who believe in Jihad in Palestine, the likes of Khaled Mashaal, Ishmail Haniyah, Mahmoud Zahar are likely to be the spokesmen. Hamas has been nothing if not vocal. Bin Laden is perhaps less relevant.

That said, all the evidence is that Bin Laden rather enjoys the sound of his own voice, so it wouldn't amaze me if we were to receive another fairly tedious statement about the forthcoming Western apocalypse shortly. There's a decent argument that says that if all else fails, Bin Laden could bore the West into submission by sheer force of solemn rhetoric.

In the past, video or audio statements have tended to take a few weeks or even months to emerge in the media, for the simple reason that their origins are harder to trace if they are held back for some time after being made. If you want to stay hidden, that's the first rule in the book, I imagine!

The U.S. Government has been busy doing other things right now, They haven't had time to make another video. But don't worry they will get to it when they can.

It's not their turn right now. The plays the thing, they have exited the stage for now, while the other actors play out this portion of the script.

They will be back though, their story line is not quite over yet and they do make a good supporting cast.
