I took this pic of the night sky and for some reason it posted very small could someone possibly take a look at it and make it large and then provide
the url so that I can fix my post?? thank you in advance img68.imageshack.us... (link to image)
Hmmm. The picture is wider than 600 pixels... so it won't show the full picture on the page unless you resize it. But you can also resize it by
command by typing this:
Note: ats-tags can only be used if you host the image yourself, like photobucket, uploadit.org, imageshack, etc. In other words, not hotlinked images
from other sites.
It's also possible to post a "small" picture that links to a bigger one. Like this: I uploaded only one big picture, and the one that is posted in
the thread has been resized to 600 pixels wide. Click the picture to see the full size version.
I am a horrible picture uploader I can never figure out the size stuff and all of the "byte' inf and the like maybe you know of a link that
would help?
When you open your picture with the most photo-edit programs (photoshop, paintshop pro, paint, etc.) you should be able to see the size of your
picture (i.e. 800x600). With the most common sizes (1024x768, 800x600, 3072x2304, 3648x2736, etc.), you can set the height to 450 to get the correct
aspect ratio when choosing 600 as width. If your image is a different size, you might need to use a calculator, or resize it in your photo-edit
program to see what the second value should be, when choosing 600 as the first value. [ats=600x450]
Thanks Hellmutt, I'll keep that in mind next time I need to upload a pic to ATS, I did notice what you were talking about but when I adjusted the
values the pic became veryvery very small I would have never known and Don't laugh, but I just got a digital camera and stoll
learning to use that as well....sigh
