UN Slams Israel's "Shocking Atrocities"

GAZA CITY — The UN special rapporteur for human rights in the Palestinian territories accused the Israeli army on Tuesday, December 30, of perpetrating atrocities against the civilian population of the Gaza Strip.
"Israel is committing a shocking series of atrocities by using modern weaponry against a defenseless population - attacking a population that has been enduring a severe blockade for many months," Richard Falk, the special rapporteur for human rights in the Palestinian territories, said in a BBC interview.

Children again fell victim to Israel's "all-out war," with two sisters, aged four and 11, dying when a missile slammed into their donkey cart in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanun.

According to Gaza medics, at least 39 children under 16 years old have died as a result of the Israeli strikes that have killed at least 367 Palestinians in Gaza since Saturday.

The UN is a big joke.

The main purpose for the United Nations (U.N.) is to resolve issues between countries through diplomacy before countries resort to military force and before conflicts escalate. Unfortunately, the U.N. has consistently failed this goal and will continue being useless for these several reasons.

First, the United Nations is primarily a forum for debate. As a result, the U.N. is an international organization where countries send representatives to argue for or against issues. These representatives are typically just spokesmen for their country's agendas and are relatively powerless in their own country. Furthermore, countries governed by non-peaceful dictators and regimes typically use these debates to delay and obfuscate issues in their favor. Over the fifty years that the United Nations has existed, these debates alone have not resolved a single issue. Direct military actions, back room negotiations, and threats, that were not sponsored by the United Nations, have had the only real positive affects for change.

Congo, Somalia, Kurds, Iraq, Ethiopia, China, Israel, Palestinians, Darfur, Afghanistan are just some of many places where the UN talked and talked and talked and did very little to actually solve problems.

That is precisely when it fails! Once the paradigm is exhausted it is useless - i.e. it is not until you realize that you can trust NO source of information that you become immune its glamor.

The UN is a tool. One that no one has figured out how to use. And one that is in perpetual motion - like the sea - because that how it is exploited. It is a medium, or game board, for the elite. They play at ruling the world their; I hear it's fun.

the islamic countries wallow in self pity about how everyone is `out to get them`

yet they have no respect for each other,

and we hear no mention of them almost daily for many many years now firing rockets into israel, sucide bombings in israel etc etc

they made their own bed and they are damn well going to lie in it

The UN is composed of posturing pukes who never, ever get anything accomplished.

I sincerely pray that the US will pull out of the UN, close the building, and send those pretenders home.

What a political, pretentious organization.

And I don't give a tinker's damn how many children were killed because of the Hamas attacks. They are getting the children killed. Not Israel. Just days ago, they had a misfire on one of their missile, and that killed two girls.

Every member of Hamas should be hunted down like the dogs they are.

This is all for show considering that the UN is owned by the Jewish Empire.
