I believe children will be greatly victimized by the harsh realities of our adult world. Their little minds can't comprehend what's happening around them.

Are our children going to pay the high price for this orchestrated global poverty? No doubt abuse will escalate as we deepen into this depression.

Also, how many children will become forced wards of the states?

Will they take our kids away if we all wind up broke, homeless, an scavaging for food?

You are right in a way. In times of hard ship, being broke and homeless the children suffer the most. Many times the parents end up drinking more or using drugs to try and escape the real world we live in. You and I and even those people know this is a temporary “cure” and the pain will only come back. Those who do not turn to drugs or booze are hit with the same stress as those who are. Many times though those who abstain from such crutches are able to handle the stress better. Still though many children will be abused because of the stress building up. Others might be forced by their parents into prostitution in order to make some cash. Those parents might turn to a crutch due to the amount of guilt tearing them up on the inside; others might use the money to feed the addiction they already have.

I think there will be more cases of children going hungry because in cases pride keeps someone from reaching out and asking for help and in other cases they may not know where to turn.

I doubt any children will be forced to work for the state to pay off debuts any time soon. But in looking at how the state fails many times I can see many being pushed into the sex slave industry or child pron. The saddest thing is the thought of an abused child. I know it happens daily but to happen in mass is even sadder. There are a number of threads on here relating to the treatment of children that go over much of what can be imagined will happen. I will suggest some reading though that I did in the sex slave thread in breaking news linked below. Read some of Dr. Melissa Farley’s stuff out there to get an idea of what may become more of a norm. In hard times many people will be trafficked and forced into labor.

Anyone who has money to buy drugs or booze, has money to provide for their child. If they choose to get drunk or high they don't deserve the privilege of being a parent.
As for forcing the children into prostitution or porn to get money....
holy hell....they deserve to have their kids taken away.
I would BEG, BORROW or STEAL for my children and sell myself before I'd let them go without anything.

I dont think many kids (if any at all) will be forced into prostitution by there parents, if any one is gonna do it, it will be the parents themselves as i imagine there is a bigger market for them than for there kids, being strictly economical about it.

"I think generations pretty soon are going to start to thank this president (Bush)for what he's done. This generation will," she (Condoleezza Rice) said.

What in the world is going on? Condoleeeza Rice is saying the moon is made of cheese and that the pigs are flying.

I say that parents might force their children into prostitution because I have read about it so many times. It is becoming a more common thing.

These are only a few articles that mention it only slightly or our right.

It is strictly economical to use the children. The reason is that it seems you can get some more people willing to pay more for a child than an adult. For some reason the sick freaks who are willing to pay want to destroy the innocence of a child because it is more pure than the adult. It is seen more and more when times are hard and money is in short supply. The children are often the first to suffer. Those that would normally just be neglected will be seen as a cash flow supplement and piece of meat, a commodity to be exploited.

I am not saying all parents will do this but certainly you will see a sharp rise in the forced child prostitution.

I agree one hundred percent. Sad thing is though not everyone does and there are many worthless sacks out there that have come together to bring a child into the world. These are the “parents” if I can really use that word that I am thinking of.

The sad thing is the children that would have been before this ignored will be seen ass a way to make money. See some of the links in my other post about the parents who prostituted their daughters for mom to get crack money.
