UFO related information 'Above top secret' says Australian political leader

www.--.com

Australian’s are seeing strange things in the skies and sometimes on the ground, from Melbourne to Mullumbimby, from Budgewoi to Bundaberg. UFO sightings have never been more frequent, yet politicians are keeping mysteriously quiet on the topic.

Malcolm Bligh Turnbull (born 24 October 1954) is an Australian politician, the current Leader of the Opposition in the Australian Parliament, and parliamentary leader of the Liberal Party, succeeding Brendan Nelson on 16 September 2008.

Turnbull is a Liberal member of the House of Representatives, representing the Division of Wentworth in Sydney's eastern suburbs since October 2004. He served as the Federal Minister for Environment and Water Resources in 2007. Before entering parliamentary politics he practised as a barrister, was a merchant banker, and was leader of the Australian Republican Movement. Turnbull is the first Republican to lead the federal Liberal Party.[1]

When the incumbent Liberal/National coalition government led by John Howard lost government at the November 2007 federal election, a vote for the Liberal leadership took place days later. Brendan Nelson was elected Liberal Party leader over Turnbull by a margin of 45 votes to 41. In September 2008, following a second vote for the Liberal leadership, Turnbull was elected Liberal Party leader by a margin of 45 votes to 41 over Nelson.[2]

I'm getting sick of the world leaders keeping all of this stuff secret. We're getting tired of "oh it's just a weather balloon, swamp gas, this or it's that" we know they're hiding something. I'm getting quite tired of them hiding the truth from us and keeping the public in the dark. They need to tell us about an ET presence on Earth. If they are so worried about it what makes them think it would be better if they hide this stuff from us? It would make us feel more comfortable if we know about these ETs... there is no excuse for the leaders to keep this stuff hidden from us. National security? That's BS>

If only the US government would come out and tell what they truly know. If aliens exist and are coming to our planet we need to know. Good on the Aussie politician for at least throwing us hints.

Good post. As another Aussie, it's nice to see an Aussie slant on the disclosure debate. Frankly, I think the odds of Malcolm Turnull being the slightest bit informed on the ET subject are incredibly slim, but it's still good to see the subject being raised.

Just a tip though, I would cut down on the Turbull bio. Although it is definitely useful for non-Aussies who wouldn't know the name, you could live with just the first paragraph. I'd also include the guts of the actual article to save time:

Michael Cohen, of All News Web, happened to chance upon Mr Turnbull and ask him a few questions regarding UFO related topics, probably the first time he was asked anything on the topic by any media outlet. Some of his answers were startling. On whether he would disclose what the Government knew about UFO and Alien visitation and contact with humans he was rather evasive, claiming he wasn’t sure they knew anything and if they did they weren’t telling him or anyone he knows. Then he made the surprise revelation:‘That information would be above top secret, highest classification of secrecy’. This was a truly remarkable comment. He also mentioned that ‘Australia hasn’t had its Roswell yet’ to which our reporter replied ‘That’s not exactly true.’

See OP for source.

I’m surprised that so much info was given away. The arrogance of power is evident in both hemispheres. It becomes increasingly obvious that the governments of this world are well aware of such things.

The aliens are not coming. They are here and have been for eons. They are fighting for world domination. They do this while cloaked. Sometimes their cloaking devices fail. That's when we see their craft and call these UFO's. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of alien craft flying around right now. Full exposure/disclosure will soon take place.

Really? Fighting for World Domination you say? Well, if ET's are so technically advanced, they could have put an end to us long ago while we were still dragging our knuckles... no problemo!

Why wait till we are technologically advanced to start fighting us for World Domination? Not exactly a logical move for a species of forward thinking intergalactic travelers.

To take another tact, I'm sure they could just wipe us out in no time flat with some kind of retro virus. Instead we have people with colorful imaginations telling us they (the ET's) decided to play in elitist circles & politics (NWO) instead and are hell bent on doing it the hard way. Hmmm, can anybody else see what's fundamentally wrong with this picture?

Do people ever think out their conspiracy theories with any semblance of logic or rationalism? It appears not!

I thought people should be get an idea of how senior and close to the top Turnbull is, you ask an Australian politician about UFO's its like asking any bloke in the street, they shrug their shoulders and say something like 'your guess on the topic is as good as mine'-yet someone must know something.

A lot of Americans don't realise how differently politics and power occurs in other countries and how that affects your understanding of various topics. In Australia politicians are simply not surrounded with any of the mystique of power, hopium or whatever. They walk down the street, hardly any security at all, no one even gives them a second glance.

Yes, they could put an end to life on the planet and have almost succeded a couple of times. They restarted time by destroying Atlantis but a few managed to escape and survive. They posess a device for restarting time but it is currently inoperable. It is believed to be hidden somewhere in the middle east or Afghanistan/Pakistan region. There are more than one alien race that know about this and are looking for it. It causes the area around it to become desert like. This is why there is a great interest currently in archeology in that region. And the wars going on in that part of the world is just a cover for this search. Oil is just another excuse as well.

Malcom Turnbull is a Rhodes scholar, ex-chairman of goldman sachs and a nwo shill. Don't look to him for anything other than an RFID chip and a cattleprod onto the slavetrain.

Peter Garret that was front man for the band Midnight Oil was opposed to Pine Gap, nuclear power, and US FORCES on our shores amongst other things.

Now he is in the Labor party his silence speaks volumes about the possibilities he has learn t about what may indeed go on at Pine Gap.

Speaking of Australian UFOs, the Westall UFO is well worth reading about.

I'm sceptical of most reports, but this one had over 200 high school teachers and at least 2 teachers witness the landing of a strange craft.

Considering that Rudd barely lets him speak for himself and his past history I sincerely doubt he has been read into many secrets of Pine Gap. It wouldn't fall into his environmental portfolio anyhow.

I don't find this particularly interesting unfortunately. Turnbull does not have a military/intelligence background and admits to knowing nothing or being told nothing. It doesn't take a genius to work out that any secrets the government has would be held at the highest level.

No, it's 'not particularly interesting'.

'Information on that subject would be above top secret, the highest classification of secrecy’

I'll lay dollars to doughnuts (Hey, see..? I'm learnin' my US slang..) that Turnbull made that statement because of either a) some personally-held view, or b) to be a 'stirrer' because of some deformed wit, rather than because of any 'secret' knowledge (but of course, I could be wrong, and Turnbull may be actually so incredibly stupid as to make such a comment in regard to top secret information - "Oh, by the way, there's a Chinese 'mole' posing as a member of the Australian government. Oops.. No.. I didn't mean to say that.. it's top secret.." That doesn't sound very likely, does it? I'm a 52 yr. old Aussie, btw.

yet another top ranking politician alluding to a government within a government that might know something about the topic but isn’t telling anyone

Yet another ridiculous, specious statement by a 'ufonut'. It's about time you guys learned the art of critical thinking and logic.

don’t hold your breath for any UFO related disclosure

...IMHO, you won't get much from any government, let alone the Australian 'government (whom I think are particularly 'pedestrian').
By my analysis of the UFO crowd (read; most of you lot), since about 1990, I have found very little in the way of serious investigation, and an over-abundance of religious belief.

Personally, I don't think there is much to 'disclose'. Sure, there are the anomalous sightings and experiences which people have all the time, but I'd dearly like to see any 'evidence', apart from the ubiquitous 'heresay', that any country's government knows more.

Cheers.

Of course it's interesting. The Leader of the Federal Opposition Party confirmed that UFO knowledge would be above top secret.

It's pretty much the same thing as him raising his middle finger and telling us where to go. We're not supposed to know and we're not going to know, as he just confirmed that's their policy.

You want evidence, right? How is evidence supposed to be gathered by the ordinary person, when the Federal Opposition Leader confirmed that evidence about UFOs is above top secret?

How?

Again: How?

Cheers.

Turnbull: "That information would be above top secret, highest classification of secrecy"

Choose to read the sentence however you like, or fail to understand it if you wish. However, it is blatantly clear that Turnbull confirmed that UFO information is above top secret.

There's no need to continue to display your naiveté. Please, I'm not 'having a go at you', or trying to pursue an argument, but I would put forward this by way of example to perhaps better illustrate my line of thinking;

"if you harbor terrorists, you are just as guilty as the terrorists; you're an enemy of the United States, and you will be held to account. "(Applause.)

Quote by Ol' Bushy nuts.

Orlando Bosch (also known as Orlando Bosch Avila) is a Cuban exile and former Central Intelligence Agency-backed operative, head of CORU organization, which the FBI has described as "an anti-Castro terrorist umbrella organization." Attorney General Dick Thornburgh called Bosch an "unrepentant terrorist." He has been accused of taking part in Operation Condor and several other terrorist attacks, including the October 6, 1976 bombing of a Cuban civilian airliner in which all 73 people on board were killed, including many young members of a Cuban fencing team and 5 North Koreans. The bombing is alleged to have been plotted at a 1976 meeting in Washington, D.C. attended by Bosch, Luis Posada Carriles, and DINA agent Michael Townley. At the same meeting, the assassination of Chilean former minister Orlando Letelier is alleged to have been plotted.

...there, he was ultimately arrested for a parole violation. Bosch was detained in the United States for six months until all charges were dropped and he was able to live in the United States freely...

Hey, Tezza..... You're not trying to tell me that politicians speak the truth, are you? (titter, titter) .

Cheers, and happy new year!

Your off topic post (about Bush) shows how you want to deflect the issue and handwave away Turnbull's words.

Turnbull: "That information would be above top secret, highest classification of secrecy"

It's a single sentence where Turnbull admits that UFO information is above top secret. There isn't a need to put any 'spin' on it. That's what he said.
