I hope this hasnt been posted anywhere before, I have done a search but cant find anything so here go!

This is a sad video about a young man born into a North Korean prison, Where he never knew of an outside world, i mean literally... He was led to believe there was no other world outside the camp. Starved, Beaten and tortured his whole life until he managed to escape.

This story is a stark reminder to us in the modern world how things can turn nasty but more important how we should spare a thought this xmas for those around the world who live through things like this....

Makes you wonder.

It's alright to invade a country that "may" have weapons of mass destruction and occasionally kills it's own people by testing chemical/biological agents on them,

but the people that are actual slaves and have never even heard of freedom or even know there is such a thing as freedom and free will, well that's OK they don't know any better anyway so what if their tortured for months on end.

Actually I've been wondering how long it will be before the US goes into N. Korea.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened already. But I suppose they assume he's pretty much cut off from the rest of the world so until he becomes a major threat we'll just leave him be. Which seems exact opposite of what should be done.

Maybe I'm just missing something but I guarantee there are a lot more people that are against KimKong (ya I know that's not his name) than for so as soon as he fell it would be better received than Iraq was or is. Impossible you say? Drop boat loads of food to the people there and they will fight for you not against you.

Sure the military could be a pain in the but but hey at least I would feel better about going in there than I would/do Iraq at this point.

There are many places which are simply overflowing with human cruelty and inhumane conditions, promoted by those who do not suffer the consequences of those conditions. But N. Korea seems to be the very pinnacle of distress for human suffering. I can't imagine how the politicians and diplomats simply turn a blind eye..., and then go to their habitual feasting and partying without so much as a hiccup.

In time, the truth will burst forth; and then we shall see contrite 'global leaders' who will use their media machines to tell us of the 'very, very, bad judgments' on the part of their predecessors, or perhaps even a "who knew?" segment or two.

In a world where so many preach compassion and struggle for peace and stewardship, the situation in North Korea (and other places) flies in the face of their cold disregard.

By the way, I think Kim Jr. is a national construct; not really a person, anymore than Superman was really a person.

Actually, I've already told my wife and friends to enjoy every last minute of the blessing we've been afforded, if for no other reason that it might not be here in a year or so. But more to the point, to realize just how fortunate we really are that we're not in the seeming refugee camps the housing bubble has produced. I wonder how many times CPS has been called on those families.

Oh yes, I am thankful. I am very thankful...for the time being.

Of course, I would willingly give it ALL away if I knew it would lead to the destruction of the Federal Reserve, IMF and World Bank.

Let us not forget our own back yards people, for soon it will be a source of forced awareness.

Sorry for the digression...I truly wish you all the best in however many Happy Holidays we here at home will be granted.

A good friend of mines mother was killed 2 days ago when she was ran over by a tractor trailer truck. That's not a very merry house hold this holiday season.

You just never know...

That kind of video really makes a man think.. And think deeply.
Its never easy to admit that the world we live in sees this much suffering.
That the world we live in this very day is full of young children being beaten by their elders. How they are denied even the most simple of knowledge. And right now as I type, my heart goes out for these poor souls who still RIGHT now are over there. Living a life of pure sarrow, hate, pain... sigh...
And we are so lucky here in the USA.. NO matter how much stuff goes on in our lifes.. Yet even some in the USA are treated this way, but its not out in the open.. ITs the hidden secerts of this world.
The hidden sarrows, and the hidden evils of this world.

As long as this stuff happens, we are all connected to it.. And we will all suffer the karma that builds from doing nothing.

The world is a cold, and harsh place..
The world is a warm, and loving place..

Its the world in which we live. And it pains me more and more each day I learn more. I have the empathy to feel. Yet I am powerless to do anything about it..
The only power I have is my typed words, and feelings of empathy.

I dont have the money or the power to stop such actions.
And those with the power and the money, make such things happen.
And or allow it to keep going on.
Its human kind..

Heaven and hell is not a place you go when you die.

Heaven and Hell are mindsets upon this EArth..

Feel lucky you are part of the heaven this world has to offer.

Even if you dont have everything you might want.. Those of us here that have online access, big TV's, computers, games.. ect ect.. ARe damn lucky!

I was thinking this very thing this morning when I was driving in bumper to bumper traffic and pissed off, grumbling in my own mind about having to babysit my sisters new boyfriend (who is a real tool) and just feeling overall un-Christmassy.

This could very well be the last holiday season that I ever get to enjoy, so I had best turn the frown upside down and have as good of a time as possible.

There may be a Christmas next year...unfortunately nobody knows what the financial landscape will look like. This could very well be the last Christmas that my family gets to enjoy, at least the last one that resembles what we all know and are used to.

Here's to overlooking the small annoyances and having a great Christmas for everyone. This isn't the time to be taking these things for granted.

Cheers
