. A case like this is far more interesting to me than something like Roswell.

I agree with this. The police involvement with the log of calls corroborating all the eye witness statements is the sort of evidence that lends credence to UFO investigations.

Water is used for drinking and other things, such as particularly useful for cooling power circuits and reactors. Where is all this water going? If i was an Alien i would set up a Moon base its agreat platfform for watching earth from. I would dunp the water at the poles of the moon where it would freeze as ice. The moon is full of Helium 3 which is apparantley useful for energy production. You can see where im headed with this the Ufos are taking the water to the moon to support their habitable bases on moon.

Hola Zazz, good point mate and there are quite a few cases in the U.S. where this has happened as well - this one's a good example and the object was reported over a lake but I don't think there were any water collection reports involved.

This is a really old thread and there's continued discussion with more info and links at Lowneck's thread below - there's also a nice pdf article here about Moira McGhee's research on the case (page 10 -15).

While not exactly the same, there's the White Acres case from 1980 which is also highly unusual.

A UFO was seen hovering above a water tank, which it apparantly emptied.

Read about it here.

Tezzajw alas the link has expired but recently did a thread on this one and really do agree it's highly unusual.

Reseacher Paul Norman once described it as a 'very impressive UFO landing and physical trace event' and it's interesting that it's not the first time a 'water collection tube' has been reported coming out of the UFO.
