Caroline Kennedy Wants Senate Seat

Caroline Kennedy told New York's Governor on Monday that she's interested in the U.S. senate seat being vacated by Hillary Rodham Clinton, making her the highest-profile candidate to express a desire for the job.
Democratic Gov. Davis Paterson will chose the replacement.
"She told me she was interested in the position," Paterson said. "It's not a campaign. She'd like at some point to sit down."

It seems to me that Caroline Kennedy may just be the best possible candidate on a very short list to fill in for the soon to be vacated Senate Seat currently being held by Hillary Rodham Clinton. I don't necessarily agree with all of Caroline Kennedy's positions, but I have to admit she's thje best candidate to fill in for Hillary after she becomes Secretary of State in January of 2009. I would like to hear from others what they think of Caroline Kennedy taking over for Hillary Rodham Clinton, whether for or against her.
