The "REAL" interesting part is they are not calling them Phenom; they are going back to the old "Athlon Dual core" name.
It seems that this dual core "MAY" be a run of unsuccessful phenom quads with 2 core malfunctioning/shutoff. (Think like the tri-core)
I believe AMD wants to hade the Phenom name as they have been "MAJOR" disappointments.
The top of the line phenom quad is "FAR AND AWAY" blown out of the water from Intel’s Q6600 quad (its oldest and soon to be discontinued quad).
The only thing this processor has going for it is it cost $79 or $89 for the black edition (unlocked multiplier).
