Every time I get on here, theres new threads about some BS story of how president obama wont make it to office.

Why dont people just accept that more than half of the united states voted for him, so he is going to be our president?
Seriously, grow up people. I have never seen people be more rediculous about something.

Yeah, I see the same ol same ol threads repeated over and over on various topics too. I just ignore them and read something else.
You might want to try that....it works.

I guess people here shouldn't be allowed to vent, debate and talk about topics that interest them. What should the approved topic list be? Hmmmm.

*shrug*

BTW. Obama is NOT the President nor is he the President Elect...and his phony bologna "Office of the President Elect" is a big fake joke

*edit for spelling - again

There is the birth certificate thing. We also got a lot of old hacks filling the staff and cabinet.

I think he will make it to office because he's apparently the elite's go to guy these days. The powers want him in office, so he will make it in.

Sorry, but there is every reason to be skeptical of Obama as far as the "change" thing being beneficial to the average American. There are all kinds of early signs that the average Joe is not going to be much better off, if at all, under the Obama administration. We'll see, in the first six to nine months if he's just going to be another figure like W who is the figurehead for the powers behind the scenes, as I suspect is the case.

He isn't the President, yet.
Those are facts.

Now, having said that, do I think something will happen?
No.
Is anything 100% sure?
Nope.

hardcoremusiclover, I think some people are SO uncomfortable with the idea of Obama being our next president, they just really cannot face it. Something MUST happen to prevent it... Some are clearly in denial.

Obama is not considered president elect until after the electorial college meets and votes.

The presidential election is not official until after December 15th when the electoral votes are tallied.
Obama probably will get in office, but, we only know for sure after the electoral votes are counted, provided nothing catastrophic happens.

Most of these people don't listen to reason. Just look at the threads here on ATS, these people are contrarians and they are skeptical of everything. It's good to let them believe whatever they want to. They do have some good points however.

We need for them to be skeptical... also who knows... maybe Obama might not live up to his promises, who will then be there to criticize him? There needs to be skeptical people of him.

I'm going to stop participating in this thread because I don't want to get into a discussion over Obama's BC. Obama is a natural born US citizen and he also has won the electoral votes. The economy is in a horrible shape right now. I have better things to be thinking about than whether Obama is qualified to be President or not.

Rebuilding roads and bridges as Obama's big help means that all those who are skilled in bridge and road work will get help. Does the average Joe work in the bridge building and road building sectors of the economy?

Where did I write anything about Obama's Birth cert.?Or where did I write any thing about him being elected? The electorial college HAS to cast their votes to legally confirm that he is the President elect.Sheesh man get a grip.

It will become official then, yes. (The vote is tomorrow) It is contingent upon that vote.

President-elect of the United States is the title used for an incoming American president in the period between the general election on Election Day in November and the swearing-in of the new president on Inauguration Day. The title is used for the apparent winner and is finalized when the Electoral College votes in December and when their ballots are counted in a joint session of Congress on January 6.
