I'm just wondering if by any chance would the Mumbai attacks have any connection with the Pirate problem since it mentions the Indian Navy in all this.

Also I did some digging and found an article from the Washington Post made back in about 05 or 07 mentioning that some Somali pirates used some kind of hi-tech "Sonic Weapon".

Also I included an article from ABC news from back in 05 which was the public media's first mention of Somali Pirates. I remember it involved some luxury liner suffering an attack by pirates.

I think the sonic weapons were being used ON the Somali pirates. The pirates are typically armed with small arms, ranging from automatic weapons to RPGs.
