Inmates release hostage from Texas prison, source says

One of at least two prison employees being held hostage at a Texas detention facility by inmates was released Friday night, a senior law enforcement source said.

I read this and this reminds me of the "Texas Seven" prison escapees. Back when the prison escapees were finally caught. They had in possession recently purchased arms and ammunition, plus Kevlar vests, clothes, and men's hair coloring.

Another thing that comes to mind is the show "Prison Break". The one episode where a full-scale riot erupts throughout the entire penitentiary and several guards plus the nurse are held captive inside. It gets to a point where the National Guard is dispatched to quell the rioting. Prison Break is one of my favorite shows along with 24.
