I was listening to this on the local morning talk show the other day, and decided to look up the article.

Here's part of it:

TORONTO, Dec. 4 /CNW/ - This is the time of year when people think about
quitting smoking. Folks who quit reside on my Nice List, even if they were a
bit crabby during the quitting stage. I'm happy to say I've quit smoking the
pipe for three years now. And if I can quit after 40 years of loving my pipe,
well, I think anybody can.
You'll have your own reasons for and ways of quitting. After chatting
with the folks at The Lung Association, here are mine:

The rest you can find here: www.newswire.ca...

So now they're using Santa Claus to send across their anti-smoking message. Just wondering what you folks thought of this.

I already quit this year. Cold turkey... and happy I did. Seeing prices approach the $5 - $6 mark was enough to get me to want to quit. Ntm all the associated health risks.

As far as Santa goes?... I hardly ever see him pictured with a pipe anymore, so maybe the old boy quit too

Using a fictional character based on several Pagan gods to get us to quit smoking... ROFLMAO

Tell me why the government tells us all to quit, and says it's bad for you and kills more than most legal substances, maybe not alcohol, but subsidizes tobacco farmers and companies?

I think they want us to keep buying cigarettes but not smoke them. This way they get the MONEY and no smokers

JMHO...

The question is how much money are the companies selling nicotine patches and the like making? What will be the next cigarette? What is the new cigarette we're already taking? Coca-cola? McDonalds meat? A form of technology that destroys the brain?

So much is known within our species yet so much is also kept hidden. One day in my lifetime, Earth and its human inhabitants will see change. A massive Venus Project type change that will only benefit humanity. The drug companies killing us off instead of helping us live longer and better lives will not be a part of this world, neither will the governments.
