I wonder, that heliosprime is antiabortion, how many kids has he/she adopted?

Is it a case of do as I say; not do as I do?

The whole business of "choice" takes on a whole new meaning when confronted with reality; Dosen't it?

Does "cast the first stone" ring a bell? God this "holier than thou" attitude get old.

exactly i do wonder.

its ok to tell other people how to live but rules for one im afraid

Actually, I personally provided food for over 25,000 children in the last 2 years. How about YOU?

It is my belief that the soul enters the body at the same time life begins; at the moment of conception.
I hate abortion. It is murder of the innocents.
And for those who can't believe in the concept of a soul, consider this. We have aborted the generation that would have saved social security. We have aborted the doctor who would have found the cure for Lou Gerhig's Disease. We have aborted the mathmatician who would have worked out the formula that would have allowed us to work out the mechanics of faster than light travel.
And these were not done for the health of the mother. It was done for convience and birth control.

Although I understand what you are trying to imply here you must realize it is indeed a flawed line of thought. You would get more support from the pro choice crowd if you would say something more along the lines of "we MAY have aborted so and so..."

And no, in many cases it is not done in convenience. Although I do not agree with abortion I have had to witness friends who went through it. It was NOT convenient for them at all. It was not used as a form of birth control. One of them was raped by a stranger, the other by a family member. Another was so young that she didn't have a clue what she was being TALKED into by the guys. The lies that they came up with like, "don't need a condom because I'm taking the new male birth control" was used. Sure, it was a concept back then (and still kind of is) but she didn't know it wasn't actually available.

So her life would have been destroyed at that point because she was gullible. Sounds fair right? She should have dropped out of school and raised this child from the age of 15 on. Right? Well, it's a tough call. Really is. Even without the argument of the soul and religion.

Then I have the friend that aborted only to find two weeks later that she was still pregnant. The day after she aborted she was emotionally devastated. Then she thought they made a mistake. Nope. Turns out she had twins. She gave birth to a beautiful daughter but aborted the sister. You think that is convenient? All of these girls (and I stress GIRLS) would have had to uproot their lives and raise these kids on their own before they were even out of school.

Yeah, there are options out there to TRY and support these girls. Sure, they could get their diploma's. But to be honest with you, unless you have been placed in that SCARY situation, you have NO CLUE what they went through. At that time for THEM they felt there were no options. They were afraid of what their families would say and were afraid of the UNKNOWN. They were NOT conveniently utilizing this brutal form of birth control.

So, even though I do not agree with abortion, I can understand why some make that VERY TOUGH decision. I support THEIR decision and support the fact that they are choosing to face the consequences of that choice.

Will they face fire and brimstone? Well, that's to be seen. However, for the OP to utilize the age long SCARE TACTIC of "ALL OF MAN IS ABOUT TO FACE THE WRATH OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" is a pathetic religious attack against others.

THAT is another reason I have moved away from established religion. I believe in God and I have my own spiritual journey. I treat all that I meet equally and have love for all and everything. According to the OP I WILL be damned for not interferring with what THEIR religion states every single soul has. Free will. Take that away and you take the basis of all religion away.

I volunteer in a homeless shelter, I have donated a houseful of domestic items including clothes, furniture, household utinsils to the womens shelter.
I tithe 10% always, and usually more. I give bums money when they ask for it. I buy and give toys away during Christmas. I buy and put food in
the boxes for the needy that are placed by the door at the market. I participate in a program for people recovering from alcohol and drugs and contribute financially to the program.

I don't expect cudos from anyone and I would never have even brought it up but YOU asked.

But most of all I mind my own business and don't pretend to know the circumstances in others lives and tell them what to do and how to live.

Excellent work.

Nor do I ever bring up such things..........until challenged.......

But with all that you do, how can you condone such mass murder of innocent babies? No different than pagan 4000 years ago, just a slightly different excuse..............

We have laws against murder, If someone else causes the mother to lose her baby, it is often called murder, but if the mother asks someone to kill her child for her its a "choice"? That's just insanity..............

Would you just "mind your own business" if you saw a child kidnapped? Or worse saw a child gunned down in the streets?
