You see every body learns something every day, now you won't look so dumb when ever the subject is up.

I kinda have issues with the whole "exopolitics" thing.

At the Exopolitics Radio website, they have the following:

Exopolitics is defined as
"(n) The science of relations between our Earth and advanced,
intelligent civilizations in the Universe."

Now, what I'm wondering is, how can you have a "science" of relations with something you know nothing about? I understand that you can have a science devoted to learning about beings from other planets/dimensions. This is how we learn about such things.

But to have a science devoted to our relations to them? That's kind of pushing it, in my opinion. How can you study our "relationship" with other beings when you know absolutely nothing about them? Even accepting as a given that they do exist, we still know nothing about their motives, their philosophies, their thought processes, or anything else about them.

With that level of data to work with (read: zero), any study of our relationship with them would be 100% speculation. To study something you must have data. We don't have even an "informed guess" as to what we may be dealing with here. Certainly, you can theorize about it, but until we have some sort of data set to work with, it's all speculation, and in that light, how can such a "science" move forward?

I'm having some trouble putting my thoughts in some coherent fashion here, but it just seems to me that, if you don't even have a starting point to work from, isn't it just junk science? Can you have a "science" dealing with things you have no data on? If we even had a starting parameter A, and then a secondary parameter Z which would be A modified by the interaction with an "alien" species, we could at least have a framework to theorize about the relationship of A to Z, and why they might have interacted with A to cause Z, but we don't, so how can we have a basis of study?

I don't know if I'm even making sense here, but that's the best I can express my thoughts about this at the present time.

I think I understand what your saying, but think for a second here! What would "MAYBE" happen if the government knows that you have info that they don't have? look what happened to Dr.Jonathan Reed? but yes you do make sense about it but you have to be careful very careful of what you do in the Internet, especially Radio Stations. now P.Obama wants to privatize the Internet cause they came out with a ho bunch of nonsense story in securing the Internet cause possible treats. Am I in the right track here about your question?

I don't trust no E/T either but I think if they really wanted to extinguish us they would've done it a long time ago, thats why I keep saying that our Government is hiding a huge part of our human history, and probably thees out of space visitors are really part of our existence.

Not really. I'm not so much wondering about what would happen if the government or whoever found out about information you may have, as much as the validity of a "science" devoted to studying a subject about which there is no information.

If exopolitics was defined as "philosophical speculations pertaining to a possible advanced extraterrestrial race and how we might relate to them" then I could buy it. But to call it "the science of relations between our Earth and advanced, intelligent civilizations in the Universe", when there is zero information available about said civilizations is more then I can accept.

As an example, at the Paola Harris Exopolics site, they have available courses from the "Exopolitics Institute". All well and good, if you want to pay them your money to learn whatever it is they are teaching, fine. However, how do you teach a subject about there is nothing but speculation?

On the Sept. 28 episode of The Paracast, which can be found in their archives, Dave & Gene interviewed Ms. Harris, questioning her as to the validity of exopolitics and a curriculum of teaching it. Their line of questioning very closely parallels my own thoughts on the subject, but, being better thinkers than I am, they voice their thoughts in a much clearer manner than I am able to. If you get the chance, check out that episode for a clearer view of what I'm trying to say here.

Yeah... right!
I've learnt nothing new other that what I already knew. The term infraterrestrials is lame just like most of the exopolitics crowd that are using the word.
