Dropping tax revenues from recessionary pressures coupled with bailout madness is creating the largest Federal revenue shortfall in a November. Ever. That's according to Federal Budget crunchers.

And now we also see the percipitous climb in gold prices for the past week, which to me indicates two things:

1) Hedge funds are nearly complete in liquidating all their hard assets to cover their losses from investor demands and payouts. This also was a big reason for the oil price drops.

2) The smarter investors are now hedging against inflation. The key to watch is $900/ounce. If it breaks this ceiling, then all bets are off on to how high the price could get.
