Silver beatles and yellow submarines and lonely hearts club bands.
Martinis and sorrow.
"...now I'm reborn
I was the Walrus
But now I'm John
and so dear friends
you'll just have to carry on
The Dream is over" -Lennon
I never owned an album, and yet, much of how I think and feel is the result of the message (a message) and lessons delivered by way of the Beatles,
not John Lennon, per say, though this is his day, of memory. Worded perfectly below, a tribute:
"There were bells on a hill
But I never heard them ringing
No I never heard them at all
'Til there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows of dawn and you
There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No I never heard it at all
'Til there was you
'Til there was you"-Meredith Wilson
Rest in Peace and wander with happy thoughts.
The world misses it's heros.
