Just thought id point it out,apologies if someone has already,this was only posted yesterday or on the 4th,the day u actually responded to it sayin it was 3 mths old,u were lookin at the date the op registered.I only no this as i found myself forever doin it when i first joined the site.

Again,someone is reading the date wrongly,this time you are viewing the date in UK style day month year where as you should be reading it US style month day year-or vice versa depending on how it displays on your settings! So sorry guys no spooky date or time mysteries going on,sorry to point this out!!

I find this to be quite fascinating! I only wish someone could provide more information than what we got here and what I was able to find via search, both of which are rather limited. Somewhere, there has to be someone with some intricate knowledge on this. I have never heard of this before. If this is in fact true, it is perhaps the most important find in history. Are these two "beings" suppose to be the keepers of the gate so to speak or guards of some sort? I would love to be able to go in there for myself and spend a couple days exploring and probably getting the living daylights scared out of me lol.

I know the persecution of the Copts in Egypt have in some respects been associated with conspiracy theories lodged against them. Maybe some can be substantiated.

Really wish the OP would get back to us with any further details or just have the balls to own up to a hoax if thats what it is.At least it has made a few of us look into it further and there definetely seems to be something going on,whether or not it is anything to do with 'the Reptilian Agenda' as the OP and Mr Icke would have us believe I very much doubt but it does look like some kind of cover up is going on at various locations in Egypt and I no from research and previous posts that anyone wanting to do serious study and exavation there have great difficulty getting any projects off the ground. I do believe that the reason for this lies under the ground in Egypt and is known to the few but not shared with the masses as it would contradict history as we know it!

"St Mary's Tree" is in an area called Matariyah, which seems to be be basically right next to Helmiet El-Zaitoun (check it out on Google Earth). Here's a photo of the tree:

Zeitoun is olive in arabic, there may be a handful of olive themed villages in Egypt.

As far as checkpoints go, that seems a common theme in the Middle East. I was in Lebanon in '06. There were military checkpoints every so often and we had to get special permission from an "intelligence" office (bunch of guys in shorts and sandals, drinking Cokes and smoking with one really young kid, maybe 18, in military uniform) to pass the checkpoints into my cousin's mother's village in the deep south.

essentially, "El-Zeitoun" translates to "Our Lady Of Light", and there was a mass sighting of an apparition of the Virgin Mary over a period of 3 years beginning April 2, 1968. I gather the whole area is very religious. assuming our OP friend is telling the truth, I wonder if a) this whole story is not rooted in a religious tale or b) they are using the story for religious gain (ie. to help the church).

This is quite interesting. I would love for the op to come back. If he is leaving us hanging to search for ourselves it needs to be admitted. If it is a hoax I would like to know. Either was this is an extremely interesting read. Now I gotta go to Egypt! Either way who really knows. Sometimes I wonder if "THE" conspiracy is to create conspiracies to keep our distracted minds from the potentially more obvious and important truth. So time will tell like always.....

I think i used to live in Helmeyat Al zayton as a kid for a month or so. but i dont remember much but i remember the apartment being really spooky looking. anyway what goes around in cairo might be strange from a foreigner's point of view. so i think u goes are over reacting thats just how things are done here. i live next to a military intelligence base and they got all kinds of security paranoia going on, like for example a bridge was supposed to be built here but they canceled it last minute because the government didnt want it overlooking the base from on top. as for the excavations, i know nothing of it.

I've always thought Egypt was an amazing place and cant wait to go! Seems to have so many secrets and mysteries about it. Also isnt the body of the sphinx said to be older than the actual head?

Damn...First off I really do not know how to post Html (any crash courses would be awesome)....I'm not even a noob..I am just some guy who finally found one thing in the world to be so unusual and so damn confounding that I had to speak out...I honestly live a fairly boring life...

Some things going on are:

1. At 9pm yesterday..(Yes it was Dec 4th 2008[ April? No, probably some post glitch]) I spoke to (I'm just going to make up a name for my "Guide" friend until he gives me the ok) Abe, and he told me his laptop was stolen from his hotel room. I responded asking him what the hotel said, the hotel said there is no way someone could have broken in as the doors read from a electronic key, which then the front desk agent goes to reach for the master copy and sees it's missing....So Abe then makes a big stink and demands the key be found and the culprit brought to justice...still no word on the laptop (Nothing of importance to this mystery is in it mind you).

2. Abe has 9 pictures on his digital camera, which he has fastened to him at all times...(No honestly he's a goofy picture freak)...6 or 7 of them are of the actual boulder thing in front of the "Tunnel Entrance" 1 of the odd freaking couple who were so damn creepy after I brought up some very ill-proposed conspiracy (And it is just that for those of you who tell this to every person you meet when your drunkard)...in retrospect...I was fairly drunkard, and mostly flirting with both of them...(Tada! Yes I'm a woman mostly lesbian so back off boys)...

3. Abe says that everything he tries to upload from the camera comes out corrupted....So I have begun sending him a bit of extra cash in order to purchase a new camera and an external hard-drive. He will stay near Cairo until the 11th of december then he must leave back home to Morocco...with this he should be able to take a bunch of new photos and either upload them from Cairo or bring back the external hard-drive....

4. Abe is Ex-military...He is a badass.....He has demonstrated his prowess against 7 grown trained men who were offered money to hurt him badly.......7 men, fell hard......Abe is scared...Abe feels his laptop was not just stolen by coincidence he thinks he was spotted leaving the subway shaft by a "Worker guy" and before he could get back to his hotel (Which is about 4 blocks from the subway entrance)...Abe feels "Bad mojo" about him being there...At one point yesterday I had him thrilled to be heading up this long distance expedition.....now it is taking 1,000 euros extra to keep him there...(he has since changed hotels, and is using a moniker)

5. I've remembered two experiences since my last post....this first one happened before we stumbled into the bar...I noticed a large amount of clothes in trash cans......I mean when a trash can had one piece of clothing it was mostly clothing...seeing this I had Abe ask a woman who was bringing in some mail, why there was clothes in her trash...The woman would not look at us, not even as random strangers who have walked onto her yard...she laughed and said "There is no one to wear them.."...Abe immediately bolted down the street very quickly, I caught up to him and asked him what she said and he told me....the man was trembling.....

Second one happened on our way out of Helmiyet El Zeitoun (Can I change the misspelling on the title and the beginning of the post?) we came upon a school yard in the morning...most of the children were just laying on their backs looking at the sun with their arms outreached.....I watched them for a second...and didn't think about it until I heard the bell ring and the children waited for the kids playing to go inside a classroom before they went into a seperate mobile home looking classroom.....that's when my awful part of me thought they may have been severely mentally challenged....I forgot about it until my girlfriend called me retarded for posting on this site....Who the retard now babe?

I am a skeptic of all walks of the paranormal...Everything I've typed out has been my personal experience....I make good money, travel the world and have a great love life...I have no reason to spend 30 minutes a night posting on this, just to get a rise out of the 20 people who will read it....

when I traveled to egypt with my family back in late 90s we had an armored personal carrier actually escort us along the desert highways. After a few days my father just said "# it" and left them in the dust at one of the checkpoints. Their reasoning was that "bad people" wanted to harm us because they were angry at the egyptian government. After we left them we didn't encounter any problems.


To this day i wonder how we found our way around cairo in that rental car, my dad even says that he was friggin insane to do so.

in retrospect I remember at least 10 soldiers actually camping out in the lobby below when we were sleeping in the hotel above. They were dead serious about the protection. The apc even had a rocket launcher lol

Why hide the name of Abe, did you have trouble thinking of something which wouldn't sound cliched? I have the same problem (I write crappy fiction/fantasy for my own amusement)

I think I picked Abe because it's the first name that caught my eye in a baby name book...I honestly didn't ever expect to even name him...but calling him my "Guide" just felt wrong, "friend" sounds like crap...I like calling him abe...I've yet to tell him I've posted anything, he's not acting right I think he's just scared...wussy...
