Jeb Bush: GOP Should Form 'Shadow Government'

The former Florida governor told Newsmax correspondent Ashley Martella that Republicans should create "a shadow government" to challenge democrats.

In Washington we need to show humility and be the loyal opposition. I actually think we need to organize ourselves in the form of a shadow government.

Shadow Government?
That is what I call the last 8 years; for it has been 8 years since the shadow fell upon the land. And all hope for justice withered and dies in the USA.

Jeb Bush wants to use affirmative action with Republican candidates. He hopes minorities aren’t smart enough to vote on the issues. Instead he hopes they will vote for the GOP (Grey Old Poops) because they propped up a minority for candidacy.

Yeah Jeb Bush just proved himself a racist!

No, he is referring to the "Shadow government" system in a Parliamentary democracy.

It is used to hold the executive to account and a government-in-waiting that takes over in the event of a "assassination of the entire executive" scenario.

Yes we use this system in the UK. This way each minister has a counterpart who can insult them in radio debates and say how bad a job they're doing.

I understand you being nervous when a Bush talks about a shadow gov't, but don't worry, he isn't talking about what you think. And the Bush days are over in DC anyways ...

In fact, a shadow government is a good system for holding government officials to account and does force the ruling party to be non-partisan on certain issues.

It is quite effective.

I'm not too nervous about the term "shadow government", because it depends on what he means... but this is exactly what I thought when I read his comments:

We already have that. We just call it partisan bickering. Sometimes, just to be colorful we call it: demonizing.

Create a Shadow government? Thought we already have one.They introduced themselves to Obama right after the election and told him the Truth about what is really going on and Scared the begges out of him. There's no such thing as a shadow government. It would just be a bunch of whining scheming Republicans sour at the outcome of the election... no more no less...
