okay i know this will sound stupid to many people, but you mentioning headaches is kind of weird! I unfortunately have been getting headaches for the past two days, it started Friday night, and has my husband concerned as i can barely see when I have them. I had thought maybe it was because of an oncoming earthquake and was wondering how many people would get headaches right before an earthquake? again I am just speculating, but your mentiong headaches and so is daughter and you guys live in the area and I am way up North. Hmmm, i am wondering if I will be plagued by headaches from now on? I hope not as I hate headaches and find them extremely annoying, we'll see!

The graphs are nice and quiet this morning, nothing seems to be happening anywhere. There was the EQ in Japan - but it was not too big.

But overall - no graph is showing any activity anywhere in the world on the site right now. 8am est

aslwww.cr.usgs.gov...

That is a good thing. I am looking really looking forward to Tuesday coming and all remains quiet.

Yeah, I am still getting headaches and my daughter last night - her head started hurting real bad again. The headaches come on and off. Someone asked about if I had a gas heater - I do, but I also have a carbon monoxide alarm - for safety - and I checked it the other day and it is still working just fine.

I have been wondering if others are getting headaches too - that they normally don't get.

Well the prez left the country last night secretly...

Nothing is going to happen, but if it did.. talk about having forewarning.

There are hundreds of reasons why you could be having headaches.

1) You're tired.
2) You're stressed.
3) It's all in your head (pun not intended. If you think you normally get headaches at unusual times you will get one at an unusual time. Mind over matter is amazing)

Etc. I doubt it's worth working people into a frenzy over. The web bot was stretching it, but there is absolutely no way to prove earthquakes cause headaches. And if there was, who can say that it was the earthquake causing it?

The gas heater (and any other gas appliance and pipes, if you have a gas installation) should be checked.

I know a guy who worked for a gas company and told me once that one of the things that they asked people when they went to check the meters was if anyone on that home had headaches, a gas leak is almost guaranteed to create headaches.

Funny, I was going to keep tabs on "the most important" people in the U.S. to see if there were any trips abroad all of a sudden.

Thank you for this. Interesting that he took a secretive trip. I wonder where the other people are right now (Cheney, Rice, etc.).

I have wondered this, due to talk about HAARP induced quakes etc.

I don't know how real that possiblity is etc. but all those things have been in the back of my mind - with the ringing of ear syndrome people have had and the headaches - people have had too.

RussianScientists,

you may find this link interesting.

Some merit to holoverse's post, but not supportive of the webbot interpretation.

After reviewing the web bot language extensively, I believe one of the quakes predicted is likely to occur along the US/Mexico border. Specifically in the Imperial Valley, likely epicentered near the town of El Centro, CA. The location meets all the major criteria laid out in the ALTA report excerpts that have been posted on UrbanSurvival.com.

-The epicenter of one quake is said to have a playful or pun aspect to the name. El Centro, 'the center' seems like a pretty good pun to me.

-The Imperial Valley/Mexicali region is a major agricultural region, especially winter vegetables. link. The ALTA reports specifically mention vegetable fields.

-A quake and subsequent flood or disruption of the All American Canal water supply would lead to produce shortages/price impacts.

-The Salton Sea to the North, the All American canal and the gulf of Mexico all offer potential flooding vectors. A mega quake of Banda Aceh size (9.0+) could conceivably open a rift to the gulf allowing sea water in to the valley, as it and the whole Salton Sea region are below sea level.

-The Imperial Fault is known as a fault that produces visible surface ruptures even at small magnitudes. link This would be in line with the 'tiger stripes' language regarding visible surface changes. There are several other faults in the area, including the tail end of the San Andreas.

-The land offers multiple 'dispute' interpretations from Indian claims to the Mexican-American war to current day water rights disputes and the more vague concept of the 'reconquista'/Mexica movement.

I do not believe the 'volcano' aspect (edit: the 'dancing mountains' language which I am assuming is a volcano) is directly tied to this location but will be a factor either in the second quake, or as an indirect result of this quake (e.g. this quake triggers an event at Mammoth).

I am not saying this will happen A) in the window of the web bot prediction or B) ever. I am not in the prediction business. I am simply offering an interpretation of the ALTA report excerpts and analysis that has been provided on UrbanSurvival over the past few weeks. That said, I have followed the web bots for more than a year now. I believe they do have an ability to accurately predict some future events. I also believe they are still being 'fine tuned' with each ALTA run.

Nothing to do but wait and pray that they are wrong.

Good thing you're here to keep us all up-to-speed on this thread.

As Jim Berkland 's biographer, good friend...I am going to say that this is a rumor. I do not believe he would have said an 8.0 quake would be the result this month. Look at his forecast. Once again, after posting the below post I will post Berkland's Dec. eq forecast. Also, he forecasts for 4 regions every month; he will make a MOSS prediction sometimes but I doubt that he forecasted such a quake/mag...He is gone till Dec. 19...so no way to know for sure. But I seriously doubt he'd predict a great quake in this manner. Oh, and working with him on The Man Who Predicts Earthquakes...he would never say "heavenly bodies'" or a "series of 8 plus megaquakes."

www.websitetoolbox.com...

So, Cal's telling me this is BS. And she promptly posted it in her forum. How about a little more substance and less hysteria? Attributing false quotes to someone like Jim Berkland, I doubt, will go unnoticed.

Thanks for checking on this, kattraxx. Like I said before, I had looked all over the web, and on his website, sysygy and couldn't find a thing at all that said he had actually predicted this, either.

Glad you have some connections, there

As I said in the other thread it was sarcasm.

Yes this could be. Good work. My grandmother was in the Imperial Valley earthquake years ago and used to tell me stories about it. Indeed if a big one happened there now that could match it. And you are right I didn't think about it but there is Mammoth and also Long Valley in California, which of course if Long Valley erupted it would be an event of truly biblical proportions.

Hmm, you are right this is a close match.
