Help! Problems with uploads...

I have tried to post pictures and tried to add an avatar to my profile. I have followed the instructions of the tutorial and tried both the member center ats uploads and my computer. I downsized tha avatar to an acceptable size. I copy and paste the precise url. All I get is either an "X" in a white square, or the written url on the post.
I have tried like 6 or 7 times with no success. Any ideas?

(I was warned by a mod about posting links to my site because I linked to a couple of pics there... but this board is not allowing me to post any pictures. what can I do?)

Whats the address of the Avatar you are trying to link to?

This is it but every time I enter something it comes up with "Warning.. no such file" , etc... Even though the board says it is uploaded and I have the pictures in "my pictures"

I'm getting the same error. It says its uploaded, but when I copy and paste the URL into my Avatar URL thing, it decides to be a hoe about it and tells me no such file was found.

You don't have the full URL of the image in your profile, right now you just have "ats7382_robot.gif" You need to have: files.abovetopsecret.com...

ACK! it says an avatar is there, but when i post ntohing shows up, also under the profile thing in control panel it's still not there when i enter it.
