1.Best Christmas Ever?
The whole family usually comes up to Alberta for Christmas, but over the past few years everyones been busy or unable to make the trip. When I was 16
we had the whole family come up to Alberta. It was great. 5 days of Dysfuncational-family Goodness.
Worst Christmas? The one before Last. Its the Christmas that Mom and Dad Separated. Litterally, on Christmas with a housefull of people eating dinner,
they were on the deck having it out. It was also the day Dad had his first sip of Beer in 20 years, and Mom started Smoking again. Seriously? Worst
Christmas Ever. They have since gotten back together, and this Christmas will be their first back together. *crosses fingers*
2.Best Gift ever?
The Kitchenaid Mixer I got last year.
3.Worst gift ever?
Pyjamma's that were too small (on purpose) to let me know I had gotten chunky over my first year of College. THANKS.
4.Relative you are forced to endure the presence of?
My Uncle. The Creepy one, don't shake your head, you KNOW who I'm talking about. You all have one. The one who married his way into your seemingly
smart Auntie's life (and can't keep his pants on when he's out of town), and INSISTS you share the bottle of Wine with him.
5.Snow or no snow?
I used to like Snow, now I despise it. It would be perfect if there was snow on Christmas Day ONLY. And if it melted on Boxing Day.
6.Turkey or ham?
Neither, I'm a Vegetarian. But When I did eat meat, Smoked Turkey.
7.Real tree, or artificial?
Real is much nicer, the fresh Pine Scent....but Artificial is more practical. You can stick it in a box under the stairs and not look at it again till
next year or pick up pine needles.
8.Stay home or visit others?
Stay Home. I like when people come up to my Parents House - however, this year I guess its considered visiting, as I don't live at home anymore.
9.Favorite holiday food?
Shortbread Cookies, Rum Balls, Almond Roca and Butter Tarts. Thats Considered Food Right?
10. Favorite holiday drink?
Oh, I love Eggnogg. But I don't drink it anymore. So I stick with the Usual - Apple Vodka or Red Wine.
11.Favorite Christmas carol?
Santa Baby, I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause.
12.Do you have a holiday office/staff Party?
Yes. Although I'm not Staff anymore, I still got invited to go this year as I worked there over the Summer. SOOOO EXCITED FOR THAT!
13.What is your holiday tradition?
On the 23rd, I have dinner at my bestfriends house with her and her family. They're like my second family - they're normal.
On the evening 24th, everyone opens up one present.
On the 25th, Mom and I make a HUGE breakfast. Pancakes & Waffles, Bacon, Eggs, Fresh Fruit etc. Then we spend the day lazying around in our pyjamma's
listening to the Jazz Christmas Station, playing cards, drinking, etc.
Then before and after Dinner we have a Family Jam Session (where Auntie & Uncle Play Guitar, I play Piano, My cousin plays the drums, Mom Plays the
Spoons, NO JOKE) and a tribute to Grandpa who passed away (Everyone does a Shot of Vodka) Make Dinner: Usually Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Smoked Turkey
& Ham (we usually have a house full), Steamed Vegetables, Stuffing, etc...
14.Angel or star atop your tree?
Star if we have it my way. Angel if Mom gets to the Box of decorations before me.
15.Do you re-gift?
Not on purpose.
16.Do you buy gift cards instead of presents?
Sometimes. It depends. For my Cousin - yes, because then he can pick out what he wants. He's at that age where its weird if i ask him what size his
jeans are, even though he is like my brother.
17.Ever been kissed under the mistletoe?
Yes.
18.Do you REALLY like fruitcake?
OMG NO. My Dads Mom for some reason, thinks that we love Fruitcake? I don't know why...but out of respect Dad ALWAYS has a piece and makes me have
some too! I despise fruitcake. Oh well, he totally pays for it when she tires to tell him that "he likes Liver Sausage". He eats that too. He's not
one to hurt anyone's feelings.
