Burmese journalists are jailed in the continuing harsh censorship enforcements.


"The Burmese courts, legal arm of a fanatical military power, continues to hand down very harsh prison sentences after sham trials", the worldwide press freedom organisation said.

The article also states that members of the '88 Generation Students have also been jailed. This is crazy. As it says in the article, Burmese prisons are not pretty places and it is common place for prisoners to die due to prison conditions.
