For a while now, I've been rather curious as to how powerful the mind really is. Granted there's mounds of conflicting studies and research to say
that it is capable of curing cancer and that its not capable of anything more than thought. but then when you look up psycho physiologic effects of
hypnosis you get mixed stories, occasionally you'll run across the stories of a person in a trance or under hypnosis being cut and not bleeding,
being pierced but feeling no pain, being burned by an ice cube, cut with wooden spoon, things like that so here's the question i pose to all of
you.
what are the limitations of hypnotic suggestion. there's proof that you can convince the mind to do amazing things to the body so, what do you
honestly think you could achieve with the right stimulation and suggestion, change your eye color? change your physical appearance and body,
"super-learning?" could you open up the chakras and the third eye, give someone or yourself through self hypnosis the ability to see objects in
other rooms, playing cards, know things about people, make them psychic?
what do you think the possibilities are?
granted there's a risk that if you do self hypnosis, you could cause irreparable harm to your mind. but right now this is just hypothetical
