Russia to help Venezuela develop nuclear energy

www.breitbart.com

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev agreed to help start a nuclear energy program in Venezuela and said Moscow is willing to participate in a socialist trade bloc in Latin America led by President Hugo Chavez.

Medvedev used his visit to Venezuela—the first by a Russian president—to extend Moscow's reach into Latin America and deepen trade and military ties. Chavez denied trying to provoke the United States, but he welcomed Russia's growing presence in Latin America as a reflection of declining U.S. influence.

This is the newest release on the plans Russia has in helping 'rouge' nations develop nuclear energy. Included are links to a thread on the pre-meeting comments from Russia as well as a link to a news article on Russia's plans for aiding Iran in the matter.

The rhetoric these various regimes put out as well as the military and nuclear coops and developments these nations have seems to be straight out of a WW III novel. I don't know if that is just coincidence or foreshadowing.

I'm am no fan of Chavez by any means but nerveless there is nothing here overly untowards here that is worth worth worrying about . If Russia wants to support some of Chavez unsound domestic policy's then that is there choice . Nuclear Power remains the only real viable alternative energy source available .
