SO It really does work?

We should have a control. Someone should do it with a plastic hanger to see if it has the same effect.

Of course it does. It's a good indicator of how meditative you can make yourself be. The key is to relax, don't be distracted. As you do it more and more it'll become easier. All you do is put the coat hanger several inches away from your 3rd eye.

EDIT- I think it will work with a plastic hanger too. A copper one is more like like a "training wheel" device. As ShadowSephiroth said, you can do it with anything. But you have to work your way up.

Worked for me. After I left it there for a couple minutes, I felt a bit of a sensation. Im not really into meditation or anything, and I was skeptical, but it worked on me.

This is called "prying open your third eye".

It has been done for centuries. Many psychics will start with this method when they are young and starting to learn and develope their ability. Psychic ability is based on two things, the use/manipulation of psychic energy, and the ability to interpret sensation/electric current/visions.

Basically, what you are doing with this exercise is opening the chakra points around your third eye and creating an open energy flow in your third eye.

While this is a great exercise, I would ask that you all use causion. Not that it is bad for you, but it could lead to some very interesting results.......

the spoon works for me and pointing at my third eye with just my finger also works but with a different tingly feeling...is that supposed to happen too?

Yeah, as I said above, your finger works too. Sometimes it harder to use your finger. What is the differencein the tingley feeling? I'll try this too.

hmm i tried it with a metal knife (it was a blunt one before you say it was dangerous) when i did it i got the tingling then when i moved it around it was all weird.you know when you put two magnets together pole to pole and you feel that kind of ball between em?it was like that cept fer the ball was one centimetre outwards in diameter from my head (basically if it got close to my head it got repelled)

has anyone else had this happen?

the difference was that it much more lighter, softer...almost a tickle, i guess not as strong would be the best way to describe it.

If I try, I can make my 3rd eye have that tingly feeling w/o the use of objects, not as stong though then w/ an object.

I've never got a repelling sensation. That is odd.

I've tried some other stuff, like, er don't laugh, but putting coat hangers on another and seeing if that has any effect, but it didn't. I might pick up a 9 volt battery and wet it and put it on the coat hanger, but we should all be careful. And not seem *too* nutty.

I'm goign to hang out in chat for a several minutes, if anyone wants to chat about this.

LMFAO- sorry people sounds like the biggest load of bs i ever heard. the tingling could not be created by an EM field or electricty.

there may be another reason for the tingling though.

clench your fists and hold them together tightly for about 2 minutes now try and pull them apart.
feels like a magnetic field is pulling your hands together.
but it is just your muscles being contracted for so long.

I found a copper coat-hanger and made the hook bit
straight, and promptly attached it to my crainium.
But, no amount of bending my torso seems to
allow my coat-hanger to make 'contact' with my
third eye

My friend told me i look like a 'frustrated tele-tubbie'

Remember people, you can't just push anything up against your head. It usually doesn't work like that. Whatever is happening, is based on subtlety. You have to hold the instrument (coat hanger, fingers, whatever) several inches away from your third eye region. Sometimes moving it closer, gradually, will "activate" the region.

And it really does work

Just get a 9volt bat', the type with both pos/neg at the
top, and stick your tongue on both points at the same
time. It works for me

Cutwolf, just play Twister, in the buff. The instructions are in the box.
