The New York Police Department deployed extra officers and stepped up security measures in the subways and other mass-transit stations on Wednesday after learning of al Qaeda discussions to coordinate a wave of explosions in the subway system over the holidays, the authorities announced.

Terror attacks in India and now threats in the US. There has been many warnings recently that a Terror attacked is being prepared which will be far grater that 9/11 and that will change the political and economic world.

Apparently Barack Obama had received intelligence briefing that al Qaeda may be plotting a major attack against the US in the early days of his presidency.
