The ordeal for 20-month-old Nicholas Holderman from Perryville, Kentucky, began when he fell on his parents car keys in a freak accident.

Doctors initially believed Nicholas’s right eye had been ruptured, but medics were able to remove the key during surgery without him suffering any damage to his brain.

Poor little guy fell down on his parents keys with one piercing his eye and going into his brain. He has since completely recovered with no ill effects. Amazing pictures in the article.

Seriously hang them HIGH. I'm so glad I don't have kids yet, I will be the most paranoid father ever!

Wow he's definitly a lucky one. Makes you think of all the little toddlers I've seen running around with there parents keys because the jingling keeps the kids entertained.

You can't even begin to imagine what horror stories your mind dredges up when you have children! Don't let that stop you though. They're what makes the world go round.

On topic - Thank God there was no brain damage. He is a very fortunate little boy.

I'll bet the mind dredges up some pretty weird things to worry about when you have kids. And yes, thank God there was no lasting damage.
