Necessary to delay the inevitable, that is. While we know it won't fix the problem, it could have been much worse. There could have been total chaos by now had it not been for government intervention. Like bank runs everywhere.

That being said, utter chaos will surely come. But not for another few years.
Better start the preparations now. It's for your own good.

Uh, okay. Reminds me of a song:

This is necessary. This is necessary. Life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on........ LIFE!

a few years? LOL

I think its faster than that... the bailouts did nothing but hasten it along.

The U.S. in on track for Bankruptsy in February... our Credit will be dried up, we won't have any reserves left... and our government will be flat broke....

I'd start thinking maybe early/mid spring instead of a couple years

Well, they can just continue injecting nothing into nothing. Let it come from thin air!

My guess is it won't be another two years before they start trumpeting the NAU and the Amero as the solution.

Agreed. Greedy corporations will go on cheating consumers, employees and taxpayers until America sinks like the titanic. If anyone thinks for a second these giant corporations are going to learn lessons, or ‘re-think’ the way they do business after being bailed out, or that the bailout will somehow benefit the consumer, or give people ‘job security,’ they are sorely mistaken. The problem with capitalism ( now corporate socialism), is that it only works when the bottom 3/4s of the country believes in the integrity of the very top, and can contain its own lust for power, and live by some sort of ethical code, but it does not. We need something uniquely different soon, but it is unlikely. Things are going to get very bad indeed.
