Doppa Stones of Tibet

The Doppas of Tibet - ancient ET visitors?

I recently listened to a lecture about the "doppas" who were / are a tribe of strange people who live in the mountains between Tibet and China. Their average height is 4'2", weight 58 lbs with large heads in proportion to their bodies.

The most interesting aspect of their culture is a set of 716 smooth granite discs with a 2" hole in the center. Spiraling from the center is a series of grooves that, when viewed under a magnifying glass, is seen to be a series of heirogylphics of an unknown language. The stone discs are believed to be 10,000 to 12,000 years old - before the time of the pyramid building.

The discs were discovered in 1938 and finally decyphered in 1964. The Chinese gvmnt refused to allow the translation to be released until recently. The translation relates a story of a people who came to explore this planet but were unable to leave because of damage to their ship. They settled in the mountains, hiding as best they could from the human tribes in the area. Their descendants still live in the caves and remote villages of eastern Tibet.

There were more details in the lecture but those are the high points.

My question is: does anyone have more information about the Doppa or can you tell me where to look. A Google search turns up nothing. I tried different spellings but still can find nothing. They are apparently little known outside of China and information about them is still suppressed. My source of information is credible but is not a mainstream source of information.

I have never heard of this before. Why is your source credible? Did they have pictures or video? Can you upload any if there were? Has this person written a book? If so, it would profit them to make up a story so interesting to get you to buy.

I hope other members are far less ignorant that I because this sounds interesting.

Problem with those links is the debunking links have mostly gone dead by this point. Seems the About.com article was impressive, and possibly Harte or Byrd saved some of the information from the site. This the only one I saw still active:
