Find an Image of a Ufo you like, go into ms paint and draw a box with the selection tool (the little dotted-box thing) over an area of the picture you
like.
At the bottom right of the screen you will see two numbers, width and height. (they might not be in that order). Drag the box until the size is 160
pixels wide by 320 pixels tall, then copy it, open a new painting and paste it. Go to attributes and make sure the image is 160x320, and resize if
necessary. Save it as avatar.jpg or something like that (not a 24mb bmp because those have too large of a file size). It should be a tall rectangle
like my avatar. If you don't like the image that comes out, rinse and repeat.
After a couple of times you get the hang of it and you can make some really cool original avatars. If you have photoshop or gimp you can do some nice
editing, like putting your screen name in it. Don't do that in paint though because it will come out cheesy.
Then just host it on photobucket or a free image hosting site of your choosing, and copy the http link and paste it where it asks for Avatar.
Congratulations, you're a graphic designer.
