My 2003/07 UFO sighting.

I have decided to post about my UFO sighting that happened in July 2003 in Lithuania.
I know that without any photos/videos this post is not very interesting and some would say pointless, but I just wanted to share and see what people might think of this. I know that I saw it, also know that I can't explain it, so long story short, I wouldn't bother to post it if I tried to lie or fantasize here.
So here it goes:
I was returning home from my relatives with my family late that night (2003 july 27-29 (not sure now), about 11:30 PM (timezone +2 GMT) when after the road curve we all saw the object on our left. I have stopped the car immediately and opened a window. Looked back at my parents to make sure they see the same. They just nodded. Then we were just standing there or about 10 minutes and observing it.
[Side note - I was always into these kind of things, but I remember saying then loud - Oh no, i'm not going there. Fear of the unknown, I guess].
Ok, so here is the object - Two circles of white bright round lights, smaller one a bit lower than tne bigger one. Lights onn both of them were circling clockwise I think (there was some disagreement about the direction afterwards). It hovered in about 50 meters, about 200 meters from the road.
After about 10 minutes it started moving along the road in the direction o Marijampolė (where we were traveling) and a little away. I started the engine and was driving for another 100 meters, then the road turns right. The object was fading as it moved, not because of the distance, but by itself. Then it flied further away across the river and was still visible for some time. Finally the glow of townlights hid it from our sight.
I'd like to add, that that night was totally dark, but there were no clouds at all - the sky was full of stars.
As for possible explanations, first thought was that it is some projection on the clouds or some light show.. But as i know that place very well, there isn't any such instalations, because its a farmland with a river valley cutting it across, no population on that side of the road whatsoever.
Besides, sky was clear, object was very low and bright, and last - the lights were directed to the sides and the object they were circling around, had some volume - lights were visible only in front of the object and hid behind it.
I will post my humble drawing for you to understand better and will try to get google earth coordinates to show you the place.

Looks like they must follow a water path.

Looks like you got a ring of Tesla bulbs lighting up.

The bulb draws in electrons under high voltage and would be
a high voltage electrical generator on earth if GE didn't push
all the Tesla patents out of the way of competition.

I just remembered that there are some high voltage power lines (110 kV I guess) cuting that field from NE to SW and up north there is a small dam with a hydro-electric power station, but I doubt it is working anymore.
I will try to get/draw some scheme of the area as I get home and will add it here.
Concerning the rings of Tesla bulbs - that is super interesting, will deffinitely look into it if possible. Can they really be that geometrically perfect and sinchronous (sp?)?

Great, a power line by UFOs, where have we heard this before.

Electrostatic drive on the Tesla craft (Tesla Flying Machine, TFM aka UFO)
can be susceptible to KV power since KV is quite the power range of the TFM.

I just heard myself on a Tesla research group, I mean these guys have
every work authentic to Tesla to the known world , un edited by cartel
agents hopefully, that the HV bulb will give off light.

The bulb draws in electrons to the craft so light is possible.
As far as the research goes, electrons effect the atmospheric gases
and any thing else called ether as it were to suspend and move the
craft.

Thanks for your nice writeup and explanatory sketches. Make sure you also submit them to some UFO sighting reporting center (MUFON, NUFORC etc).

For a somewhat similar configuration of "lights" on the underside, have a look at the pictures at www.hyper.net... (right column, Green Bay 2007, Fowler 1980 sketch + report)

Another thing you might find helpful: having examined many UFO sighting reports where the witness said that the UFO was very low ("treetop level", "could have hit it with a rock" etc) it seems happens with much higher frequency near water (river, lake, swamp etc).

Actually, one of the main reasons for me to post my sighting on ATS was that I just could't find any similar UFO reports.. Of course, I only did a quick search, but was kinda surprised because of that - I was quite certain, that those kind of UFO's with 2 rings of circling lights are very common (well, all those old Sci-Fi movies and such )
I guess it's just me chosing wrong keywords for my search .
Anyhow, thanks to you, I did some browsing for 'many lights' and 'water' and found some reports that sound like they are about the same or very similar object to the one I saw.

The base of the object's body consisted of two semi-discs, the smaller being on top; they slowly revolved in opposing directions. At the circumference of the lower disc Globa saw numerous shining, bright, bead-like lights.

I saw that an object was trying to land. It was lit up with a lot of lights. A moment later, the object had just disappeared into void and it was gone in a second. When I looked again, it was gone. It was a dark object, round in shape, with many lights.

It was very weird. It was the most beautiful green and white light, moving quite fast, then stopping... It had to be mechanical, like a spaceship, because it slowed down and stopped. It wasn’t making any noise. It disappeared in a flash.

And one last thought - I think I got it why me and my family were disagreeing about the rotation direction of the lights - most likely one ring was rotating clockwise and the second counter clockwise. Hm.. Might this be some kind of propulsion? Well, I don't believe those lights are just for show

Where do you expect to find the most UFOs: on the ground.

Too bad they are in isolated and protected areas.

Go figure what could they possible be hiding from us.

I'm sorry for bumping my own thread, but I've just stumbled upon a pic in the ufocasebook that looks EXACTLY like the UFO I've seen back in 2003, only the lights were not blurred - it was perfectly round and circling (maybe there is some motion blur in the photo, or brightness/contrast problem, not sure).
