Oil Exports from Iraq to Western Europe and Asia dropped considerably between 2000 and 2001.
Exports to Asia dropped from over 200 thousand barrels a day to less than 50 thousand.
Exports to Western Europe dropped from over 780 thousand to less than 400 thousand.
Exports to North America rose during this same time from 700 thousand to over 900 thousand.
Oil consumption in Asia and Europe remained steady during this time.
The cap on how much Oil Iraq couls export had already been removed in 1999 so I don't think it's related to the Oil for Food program. I could be
wrong though.

Can anyone explain this?
