Secret Societies?... What!

OVERVIEW OF SECRET SOCIETIES

By Gianni DeVincent Hayes, Ph.D

Beneath the broad tides of human history there flow the stealthy undercurrents of the secret societies, which frequently determine in the depth the changes that take place upon the surface. -- Author Arthur Edward Waite

Priory of Zion has been pretty extensively exposed as imaginary, and hence Dan Brown has been exposed as gullible.

Good luck connecting all of those!

But seriously, as far as Atlantis, I believe that it was Thera, off the coast of Crete. Others believe it was by Bimini- there is a current thread relating to this. Others believe it was many other places. I cannot find anyway to connect Atlantis to, say Saddam Hussein.

My advice would be to use the search option at the top of the page, type in key words, and go from there. No sarcasm, I am being serious.

You sound like you are new to researching conspiracies, so a little advice if I may. One, take most of what you read with a grain of salt. Most things you will read are theories. Two, always find and question sources. Three, and this is a big one, at least for me... resign yourself to the fact that you will never know the truth about everything. It is just not possible. It is not all written down in one place to be found on the internet. And frankly, life would be pretty boring for me if it was. I am fully aware that I might die not really knowing who killed JFK or where Atlantis was, ikf it ever was. And that is OK.

Enjoy your searches and don't get too overwhelmed. Happy hunting!

Well from what I understand it kind of starts with Hiram Abiff. He was apparently killed by his three apprentices for not furthering their "education" of masonry. I think this is a great example of "secret" knowledge. It's a good story to try and find what your looking for, but they don't call them secret societies for nothing.

Then you can look up the illuminated ones and head to Germany for some stories and see where I guess what you would call where mainstream freemasonry breaks off from the illuminati.

Freemasons were literally the first union in a sense, but there certainly was another elite side to this organization which we will call the "labor negotiators" of this "union" which some say were the designers of the entire civilized world. Most freemasons haven't any idea what they are actually apart of.

Their agenda is entirely about control in every form, the NWO is what implements and enforces the policies of the controlling few.

When it comes to FreeMasonry... how did you miss the threads on them in the Secret Societies forum?
There are eighteen threads mentioning Masons currently on the front page, only three on Illuminati, and there are several more back in the history.
As well as plenty on Zionism, KKK, ect.

As for the groups relation:
Illuminati:
The only real group with historical evidence would be the Bavarian Illuminati. here's the Wiki on them: en.wikipedia.org...
As for their relation to the other groups, they probably died out around 1785, so the probably had little to do with the Mafia or the KKK, or the Yakuza for that matter. As for the Priory of Zion, since I'm going to guess you mean the one mentioned in Holy Blood ad Holy Grail, yes, it did exist, from 1956 to well...1956. Now the fellow who created the organization wrote a book later about it, claiming a ancient history. it's where we get the De Vinci Code.
There was a bit about it on the History Channel awhile ago, but here's the wiki link about th group. en.wikipedia.org...
The fellow faked most of his evidence, and fairly obviously so once it was examined. As for it's likely association with the Illuminati, again, the only known Illuminati had died out by this point.
I don't know if you mean Allied Axis together as a group or seperate, I Googled the article you have, I think, and couldn't find a group. Found a old magazine though.

And FreeMasonry.... well. Where to begin. Adam Weishaupt had an idea to recruit from Freemasonry, didn't pan out from my understanding. There are several here who know more about it than I do, however, and I'm sure you'll hear form them later.
As for FreeMasonry and the Mafia, yes, in a way. When you hear talk about the links with the Mafia, most of it comes from the P2 Lodge.
Again, a wiki: en.wikipedia.org...
As for the KKK, well... most likely members of FreeMasonry were members of the KKK at some point. May even be at this point as well, in the Southern part of the United states,as well as the North. it's unfortunate, but people are still people.
Now, there are several rumours about members who were part of the KKK.
Albert Pike, famous (or infamous) among them. There is little doubt that Pike was a racist at some point. However, later in his life he did a lot of good for Blacks, and always had respect for the Native Americans.
The KKK we think of today did not form until 1915. Before that, the KKK, while not angels, were certainly not the same as they were during the 1915's. They degenerated, however,, and their actions caused them to be forcibly disbanded, many of the Southerners at the time views their actions as giving reason to let the North continue it's occupation of the South.
Again, wiki has more info there.
As Pike died in 1891, it's not very likely he was a member of the second clan, and there is no record of his membership in the first.

When it comes to FreeMasonry, there are several threads on ATS, several articles on Wikipedia, and several members on ATS who like to talk about it extensively, much to the chagrin of some others.
You'll find over time, that a remarkably large number of people who have no interaction with any of these groups will come forth saying they know a great deal more than anyone else who may be active in the groups or studying them.

Atlantis was a fabled continent by Plato, an allegory for his views at the time possibly, or a recounting of one of the numerous cultures in the area that were destroyed by waves actions from the seismically active area.
Supposedly Atlantis was defeated by the pre-Athenians, who, though possessing remarkable technology, would not have won a fight against some of the fabled accounts of Atlantis.

Knights Templar were branded as heretics and tortured then burned at the stake by King Philip IV, because he owed them money. They were, and in some cases, still are, considered devil worshippers.
The Catholic Church releases a formal apology (takes them awhile) about torturing and killing the Templars. Nice of them. When the Templars were disbanded, the surviving members and land went to the Hospitalliers.

Popes have a history like Kings. You have good ones, you have bad ones, and you have "Meh" ones.
I liked John Paul personally, however, historically people like Galileo, Sir Francis Bacon, Leonardo De Vinci, and others were blocked by popes before their knowledge was known and proved correct.

Saddam Hussein. I still remember when they caught the guy, I was playing pool on Yahoo. He's dead now, hanged by the neck. Not a very nice guy, however America pretty much went after him under the pretense of 9/11 to get our grubby hands on the oil in the country.
As to his death, I have heard recently he's set up house with Tupac, Elvis, and John Lennon on a Island somewhere.

All I can tell you here is what I know, though there are several on ATS will will tell you more, some true some false, some educated guesses, some paranoid fantasies.

www.newswithviews.com...

I believe this is the article you were talking about.

The reason I brought up Pike earlier is because of something that's said there.

Albert Pike, Grand Commander of Freemasonry and a Satanist, stated in his book, Morals and Dogma, that "Freemasonry is a search for Light. [Light= is Lucifer.]

That is nearly completely wrong. First, Alert Pike was a Mason. He was not a Satanist. In fact, you'll find few satanists in Masonry, despite what many would claim.
He did head the Scottish Rite for the Southern Jurisdiction of the United States. And, really if you ask some Masons, my understanding is that if thy are part of the Scottish Rite, they will probably know who he was.

He never states in his Books that the light of FreeMasonry is Satan, far from it. He does wonder about how Satan came to be called Lucifer, howver.

I'd love to keep rambling here, but it's currently about 5 hours past my bed time and I have work in... four hours.
I'll come back to see the major errors in my post after I've had a couple of pots of coffee.

Rune Spider is a gentleman and a scholar. To sum it up far less eloquently than he,

are the following organizations related to each other?

Illuminati
Freemasonry
MAFIA
YAKUSA
KKK
Priory of Zion
Allied Axis
No. The organizations themselves are not related at all, though individual members could easily be members of any combination thereof.

Are the following events/place/person related to what s going on to this world....

Atlantis
Knights Templar
Pope
Sadam Hussaine
Of those 4 the Pope is the only thing that still exists today, so in relation to what's going on in the world, he's the only answer that might make any sense. Though his influence is largely confined to Catholicism, he does extend a certain amount of dignitary status. That said, only within the Catholic church can he say "jump" and expect others to follow his orders. He doesn't have any controlling influence over much (if anything) else.

Thanks!

Thinkerbel, do the sources have to be only web-based? Sorry to imply that you were new- your registration date is recent and your OP seemed rushed, for lack of a better word. I was a long time lurker too, but when I started researching I wanted to know everything "now."

And I didn't mean to break your heart. I just like a healthy bit of cynical realism to go along with my quest for truth, is all.
